The best ebike charger available, hands down
Use it to charge my nominal 74v 15AH battery, does it in about 3 hours at 4AThis thing will leave you feeling like an idiot for EVER going without one, I put up with cheap chargers for years and this thing gave my battery a new lease on life after nearly 1000 charge cycles. It's also low profile enough to fit in a camelbak, if you have any charging options while out on your ride. It gets VERY hot to the touch under operation, but this is normal since the body functions as a heatsink, although putting a fan in front of it wouldn't be a terrible idea, it hits 61C in a warm garage and will throttle itself accordingly past 61C.It has some limited data available, such as how many charge cycles, average charge time, average wH, although more options with a firmware update could be nice.

Quality product
Finally a charger that I can count on. I stayed away for a while because of the price. But I spent twice the amount on cheaper chargers that didn't last. I should have gotten this a long time ago. Thank you Grin for caring about your customers, and making a quality product and not just making a quick buck off of everyone.

Replaced my stock 5A ONYX RCR charger with this badboy!
My stock 5A ONYX RCR charger bit the dust, the internal fan failed years ago and i had removed the case to allow it some heat dissipation, but it didnt last and stopped working.I upgraded to this charger and it is significantly better than the stock one. The user interface is intuitive and has a pre-programed setting for 84V (full charge of ONYX 21aH battery) that can also balance the battery if left charging for 72 hours. My only criticism is how hot the charger gets, it has a thermal cut-off at 70C and when it was charger I saw it was hovering around 68C. I took an old piece of metal and turned the charger upside down and set it on the metal (to bypass the rubber feet) and it acted as a heat-sink to dissipate some more heat and keep the charger cooler. There are mounting tabs to mount it directly to the bike, but removing the battery from the bike and charging is more practical.Overall this charger is built better and functions better than stock ONYX one, they really should just send out their bikes with this charger for what they charge $$.

Useless terrible design and frustrating
Bought 72 volt version. Plug into my 72 volt battery after soldering on the correct connector which it does not come with and the unit displays an error message of voltage too high. Spent countless hours trying to figure out a way, anyway I could make this thing work and it will not. I do not understand all the great shining reviews on this item. IT DOESNT EVEN WORK! Useless paperweight. I could not be more disappointed.

If you have a valuable battery pack... get it
I bought a $1200 72v 50Ah battery pack for a Zap Zapino and the included charger let the smoke out about 2-3 minutes into it's first charge. Looked like it cost about $2 to build. Decided that I have three very expensive battery packs and I'd like to make them last as long as possible, so ordered up the Satiator after a bunch of research. I installed an XLR port on my bike in place of the computer power plug and it works great. Also ordered up the XLR to XT60 adapter but for Lunacycle brand batteries it is the wrong half of the plug, so you may have to modify or put and adapter on the adapter. I did not order up the programming cable that can be used in conjunction with any of the other adapters as every charge program I might need is already in the charger and I've activated three of them.UPDATE: So far really happy with the tech this supplies. Only mildly concerning thing is that it is a sealed system and the entire unit gets hot while charging. Almost hot enough to burn you, but not quite... 60 degrees C or about 140F. I wouldn't try holding it for more than a few seconds while charging nor do I advise leaving it on something with a low melt point. I was concerned it might damage the vinyl seat cover on my scooter, but just made it warm.

The only charger you need
I was hesitant to drop so much money on a charger but after reading up on cycle life increases from undercharging I was sold. No need for individual 10s, 11s, 12s, 14s chargers and I can choose the amp output for when I need to top off or a slow, steady charge after a long ride.I built my own batteries, one without a BMS. I am confident this charger will keep them satiated and healthy. A must have for a serious enthusiast. High initial cost, but very justifiable. Able to charge multiple chemistries at varying voltages, at varying rates plus free firmware updates for life is too good. Quality Canadian product!

Be prepared to figure it out, build your own cables and get it working on your own
I purchased this charger in Feb 2020. It's now middle of August and I'm just now kinda getting it working correctly. It handles RC air planes and cars nicely, wireless connections for musical instruments, simple. ...but any $20 charger can do that. Then we come to my scooter 60v 26Ah. The real reason for purchase. The company doesn't make a variety of connectors or adapters and they told me to get access to a soldering iron. Oh, I see. So that's customer service in Canada. They don't answer the phone, instead direct everything to their website. ….and they are correct, there is a lot of information on it. However, it does fall within the realm of possibility that not all questions can be predicted and answered in advance. So, they direct users to email. If you think the phone is ignored, just try email. Simple question, just give me a yes or a no. 3 weeks, finally. ...and I had to nag. I hate that. It's been nearly 7 months trying to get this thing to properly charge my scooter battery - my hopes are high for the coming weekend. we'll see.

It's cheaper than replacing a battery.
After making the switch to ebikes (and Chinese transportation toys), I wanted to consolidate multiple chargers into a single unit. Found the Satiator here on Amazon before discovering Grin's website (ebikes.ca) and very extensive knowledge base. After two weeks of reading their articles, I've since bought a second, lower voltage Satiator, several adapters, and am now looking at Statorade to help with motor fatigue on the hills. If this device doubles the life of one ebike battery, it will have paid for itself. If it reduces the risk of fire hazard while charging, it's worth the money.
