Works in Linux Mint 20.1 but only at half speed
I bought this board because my first choice was becoming expensive and so this one at about 1/3 the cost of the Intel seemed like a logical choice. My issue is that I could not obtain a speed higher than 52.5 MB/s (though it should have been very close to 100 MB/s). I tried it on an identically configured PC on the same network and was able to see 100.1 MB/s with the Intel. For grins I reversed the two cards and got the same result. So yes, it works in Linux Mint but not at the stated speed. It's going back and I'll buy the Intel. Did some digging and found out the Intel card has been discontinued in favor of their 2.5 Gbe cards. While nice for Windows, not so nice for Linux as my Kernel makes no provisions for it and I don't want to be in the business of compiling the source each time the Kernel changes. If libraries change (and they do) I may run into more problems compiling down the road.

Linux Mint Plug and Play
I am online with Linux Mint! The new Ethernet/Network card arrived today. Tested it with a basic Yellow CAT-5e. Placed the Power back on and it's online. Plug and play, did not have to do a thing. Closed the tower up and reconnected the Black CAT-6, still running at full speed. Placed the card in the lowest PCI-E slot. The hardware: ASUS TUF X470-Plus Gaming. 32 gigs (16gig x 2) RAM 3000 speed. Ryzen 7 2700. Video card is an old GeForce GTX 750 Ti (This will do until I put in my 2080 into this PC. Video cards are in short supply right now).Update: August 29th, 2021. Still running perfect on Linux Mint, Kali Linux, Puppy Linux, and KDE.

X-media doesn't have an updated driver. But Realtek (chip) does.
I bought this thinking that my MB network connector was having issues, since I would get random "unable to connect" online. Nope, network is fine. What I didn't like was having to hunt for the latest driver seeing that the microsoft default driver is several years old. Ok, so let's look on the manufacturers website.... "There are no drivers available for this product at this time" WTF??? How do you not have a driver for your own product? So here's what to do: Go into device manager and look for this network card (under network adapters), assuming it installed with the Microsoft driver. Find it? Now right click and go to "properties". Highlight and copy that name. You should be able to find the new driver on the the Realtek (Chip Manufacturer) website. It should say something like INSTALL WIN 10. I'd paste the link but already took the card out. But that's how I found it.

Support Win10.Win11 and Linux kernel 2.6X and up
It works with Win10, Win11 and Linux RHEL/CentOS 5.X,6.X, 7.X and 8.X without the drivers. It is good NIC for old version Linux, but quality is questioned. The first one only works 7 days and dead, looks like some solder joints on PCB are not good, when you push the PCB, it works, then not working, I bought another one, works fine.

I found this board was not good for gaming
My on board RJ45 Ethernet port on my motherboard died. I needed to get a Plug-n-play adapter to get back on line. When installed, the board was seen and the drivers were loaded. Connected to the net no problem. It was easy to install, looks well build, and it was seen by Windows 10.Did a speed test and got 370mbs on my 400mps internet. Worked great for surfing the web, very fast. I do play several online video games, and the board worked until I went into a 20 man raid, and the board couldn't keep up. Lots of lag and freezing where I never had that with the onboard port. I think for most people this would be a good board, but if your a heavy gamer, it might not be right for you.
