Great product for those with allergies
Recommended by vet to keep cat dander low. Just simply put on a towel and wipe on. The cat doesn't mind at all. People in the house with cat allergies have noticed a huge difference

I CAN KEEP MY CAT AND GET ANOTHER ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2 CAT HOUSE because of this product!
Ok so I wanted a kitten knowing my husband was terribly allergic. He let me get it because he loves me and only because he loves me. My plan was to do everything possible to get rid of the cat allergen. I bought a Hepa Air purifier from Coscto (tall), give kitten a weekly bath, and purchased this product. My plan was to use this product about 2 times a week in addition to the kitten baths. I read several different products and reviews and this product seemed best for what I needed. The first 3 weeks of me having the kitten I kept the air purifier running 24/7 and I gave the kitten weekly baths. My husband would still have itchy burning eyes. Then finally my order of Allerpet for cats arrived. I use the Le Salon Essentials Triple Finger Massage Brush to brush on the Allerget pet. The instructions say to use a wash cloth to rub it on but that is just a complete waste of product. What works is pour Allerget pet in a small bowl and dip the brush in the liquid or just squirt the liquid on the brush. Brush Allerget pet all over the cat. I do it head to toe (excluding eyes, ears, nose and under the paws). I get my cat pretty much completely wet. Not dripping but the fur needs to be wet. It does dry pretty fast (I have a Snow Shoe Chocolate Siamese). Anyway, it worked perfectly and my husband has not had any allergy issues. I even stopped giving baths and just use this 2-3 days a week. PERFECT. Now I will still do baths maybe once every 3-4 weeks so that the cat continues to be used to being totally wet however I will only be doing it so the cat is comfy with baths not to help rid of the allergen issue. Even though I use this product a couple times a week and get my cat wet with it, I still have a pretty full bottle. I’m not saying this Allerpet works 100% as I am still running the Hepa Air purifier 24/7 but with giving my cat a bath once a week and not using Allerpet my husband had issues. Now I’m not bathing and only using Allerpet (with the air purifier) and my husband has had ZERO ALLERGY OUTBREAKS! This product worked for me and my family to the point that we are getting another kitten in 3 months because there are no allergy issues

It Works, But You Have to be Diligent
My husband is allergic to cats, yet because he loves me, he let me get one. I was determined to do everything possible to make the house livable even though we had a cat. We got a FURminator, we bathe the cat about once a week, and I even have 'allergen reducing' cat wipes. I also tried ADS Anti-Allergen Dust Spray 32 oz. on the carpet and that didn't seem to do a bit of good, unfortunately. However, this stuff DID help. Now, it's not a miracle worker - it's not going to magically cure you from cat allergies, but it *will* help. In order for it to be most effective we have to diligently put it on our cat 2-3 times a week (ideal is every other day or so). If it's only once a week, it doesn't seem to do the trick and my husband still sneezes and has a runny nose. Also, I think part of the reason this works so well is because we bathe the cat about once a week and THEN put this stuff on. It didn't seem to be as effective the first time we tried it when we put it on him before giving him a bath, but you are welcome to try that first. One thing that we have started doing as well, is instead of putting this stuff on the cat via a washcloth, we just put it straight on him and rub it in real good. It's supposed to help with dander but rubbing it on with a washcloth never seemed to penetrate the actual skin (where the dander is), so we put it in our hands and rub it directly onto our cat so it gets to his skin. That seems to have helped a lot more doing it that way. Then, we dry him down with a towel and feed him a can of wet food so he knows that after the 'torture' is done, he will be rewarded. That seems to have helped with his tolerating a bath and putting Allerpet on him, because he hardly struggles at all anymore. Yes, he will still give us this "Are you almost done yet?" look, but he puts up with it because he knows he has a treat waiting when we're done. Overall, I think this product is worth a shot if you are trying to reduce cat allergens in your home. Just keep in mind that it's not a quick fix (there is no such thing as a quick fix when it comes to reducing cat allergies!) and you will have to be diligent about frequently applying it if you want it to really work (and brush your cat too!)

Works well for mild cat allergy
I have a mild cat allergy and use this on my indoor kittens once a month or every other month. It’s easy to put on them, they don’t seem to mind it. This combined with a daily allergy pill and I’ve had no issues with the cats! I believe it recommends using weekly, so for outdoor cats or a more severe allergy that would probably help more. Using it like I do this is lasting for a while. It’s got a very neutral smell. I recommend giving this a try for anyone with allergies!

It works, I think...
So, my boyfriend has kitty allergies and I thought this would be perfect. First, I wasn't expecting it to be a watery like consistency so you're more likely to use more because it doesn't suds up or anything. I've used it twice, once a week, and it's hard to say if it's really helping or not. Combined with using my de-shedding tool first, then applying the Allerpet, I guess it has helped a little bit. Not a miracle product, but combined with various other things such as vacuuming daily and brushing regularly, I would say this helps. Only gave it 3 stars because I'm still unsure if it is really working or is working because of everything else.

Saves my Sinuses
This is the best product! I am always telling my friends about it when they talk about not being able to have a cat because of allergies. It doesn't completely get rid of symptoms but it reduces them by a lot. It's a liquid that you put on a cloth and rub on your cat, and it binds to the allergens and keeps most of them from getting in or on you. My cat doesn't like it at all, but she's old and can't run very fast, so she doesn't have much choice in the matter. I use it on her every week or two. She doesn't lick herself very much so she's not re-allergenizing herself as fast as younger cats do, probably. I can stick my face in her fur without feeling that tickling in the back of my head that I would normally, and my boyfriend no longer turns red and drippy when he's around her. Actually, I think the Allerpet acted kind of like allergy shots for him - by being consistently exposed to very low levels of allergens for a longer period of time, he's a lot less sensitive to cats in general and has less symptoms when he's around other people's cats too. One other piece of advice; get an allergen spray for your carpets/furniture/clothes/etc. The Allerpet doesn't get everything, so you can still get a little bit of build-up over time. With the Allerpet, allergen spray, a good vacuum, and a good air filter, you should be as close to perfect as it's possible to get.

Great Product was skeptical It does work
My boyfriend was highly allergic to cats so I could never own a cat. One ended up on a doorstep so we adopted him. We live in Florida and have a large screened in porch so he was allowed to stay safety in there while living outside. I would bring him inside and my boyfriend could tolerate him in the house and bedroom for a short while but couldn't touch him. I bought Allerpet because if it's positive reviews hoping it would ease my boyfriends allergies. I have been using Allerpet for cats for about a month and it was advised to use once per week. I did this and it seemed to work but I ended up forgetting and he ended up getting allergy symptoms if I let it go over by a few days. The product works very well and I apply it about every 4-5 days. Our cat is inside the house most of the time (unless he asks to go outside). I found using my hands to apply it made it a very fast process. Before finding this out I used a sock or papertowel and it took me about 5 minutes to apply thoroughly. My cat is very tolerant and isn't bothered by it being applied but using my hands allows me to just wet my hands and then wipe the product on my cat. I only have to wet my hands about 5 times to fully cover my cat as opposed to wasting product and wetting the sock about 20 times. I would highly reccomend this product and to recommend users to pour a small amount in their palm and then spread it between both palms and then quicky wipe it on the cats fur. Very effective and fast and works excellent. My cat is now a happy house cat and my boyfriend is completely allergy free. Very good product.

This stuff works!
We got a new kitty in the house. He has long hair and is over ten years old. It is clear from just looking at him he has trouble maintaining his grooming standards. I couldn't spend more than a few minutes with him, before being overwhelmed by an allergic reaction. I would have to change out of my clothes, and either put them in a baggie or straight into the wash. Then, I'd have to hop in the shower and put on fresh clothing. We tried to give him a bath, but he immediately knew what the tub meant and let us know in no uncertain terms he was not having anything to do with that. Fortunately, I found this product from Allerpet. I was desperate and thought I'd give this a shot. The instructions say to pour the solution onto a cloth, the rub the cloth on the cat's fur. Kitty did not like that one bit, and when the claws came out, I had to stop. The following week, I poured a bit of the liquid into the palm of my hand, then rubbed it on the kitty. He was a bit confused by the liquid, trying to smell it. But, once I started petting him, he relaxed and enjoyed it. I was able to get his back, sides, chest and tail. He does not yet trust me to get the undercarriage. But, even without two full applications, I noticed I could pet him and not smell "cat" on my hand anymore. I didn't need to go through the decontamination protocol. I'll definitely continue with the applications. This stuff definitely works!

Ottimo!

Amazing product
This is an absolute godsend and worth the price ! My husband is severely allergic to cats and we have two rescues - this has taken the major stress away ! We comb our cats and then apply once a fortnight or even a month and the reduction in allergies for us all especially my husband has been life changing!
