Great for Transitioning From Bottles to Straws
These bottles worked really well for my one-year-old when we were transitioning from nipple bottles to straw cups for milk. We tried several other options, but these were the only ones he would consistently use to finish his milk. The straw can be a little tricky to install at first. You have to push it in firmly and make sure there isn’t any air leaking through, otherwise the milk may not flow properly. Once we figured that out, they worked great. Since these bottles helped us successfully transition away from nipple bottles, they were definitely worth it for us. Five stars!

best transition from bottle to straw
These were an absolute lifesaver when it came time to transition my little one away from bottles! Since they have the same familiar shape and feel as the Dr. Brown's bottles we had been using, the switch to a straw cup was so much easier than I expected. My toddler adapted to drinking from the straw quickly, and it made the whole transition feel much less stressful. I was so thankful Dr. Brown's offers this option because it really helped bridge the gap between a bottle and a regular straw cup. The bottles are also very durable and truly leak-proof, which is a huge plus with toddlers. I especially love that they include a cap to cover the straw, keeping it clean when we're on the go. They're perfect for tossing in the diaper bag or taking on outings without worrying about spills or a dirty straw. If you're getting ready to transition your little one from bottles, I highly recommend giving these a try. They made the process so much easier for our family, and we've been extremely happy with them!

Our favorite bottle!
My son has health issues and he aspirates when drinking. Because of this he has to be a on a special thickened diet, and he can only drink from a slow flow straw bottle. After researching all the different options, I circled back around to the Dr. Brown's Sippy Straw Bottle. (I always come back to this brand!) The best part about this bottle is that it is easy for my sons tiny hands to hold. It comes with removeable silicone handles which he can not use because he has to sit at a 90 degree angle to drink. But even without the handles, it is still the perfect size for him to hold on his own. The handles are soft and flexible and easy to remove and clean. I also love that it has a closable lid, as I often have to pre-mix his drinks and then store them in the fridge. This allows me to not have to store open drinks overnight. These cups are not hard to clean if you have a dishwasher. I simply rinse the cup and then take all the pieces apart - the bottle, the straw, the sippy spout, and the lid - and place them in the dishwasher. I have never had an issue with mold by cleaning them this way. I do think hand washing them would be a little bit more involved, especially for the straw - but the bottles do come with a long tiny brush that fits in the straw for proper cleaning. The weighted straw does not do its job as far as being able to drink from any angle. This is not a problem for us, and actually works better in my favor due to my sons health issues and requirements - but if you are looking for a straw cup that they can tip back and still be able to drink from, this is not the one. Overall this is a great cup. Any Dr. Browns users will know that they are not ideal when it comes to being easy to clean. But it's a small price to pay for a genuinely good quality sippy cup.

Great for transitioning from bottle
This was my son's first post-bottle sippy cup. he loves them! Good quality and easy to throw in the dishwasher. my only complaint is in a pressure change situation (airplane, road trips, even just in the car) they leak, a lot. I feel like a lot of sippy cups have this issue. Otherwise though we still use these and plan to for my next baby

Have spares
My son loves these. Tried to get the alternative straws for them which was a major waste. But the standard is great and minimal leakage during fill as long as you are paying attention.

Leaks, Traps Pressure, Causes Frustration
The concept is great, but the quality is poor. Most of the time, the straw does not work, meaning air is being sucked out, and the liquid does not. Then, the top needs to be adjusted, screwed on and off until the liquid can come out, and often when doing so the top leaks liquid everywhere. And the straw itself is not long enough to get the majority of the liquid out of the bottle. Mostly cons unfortunately. I would not recommend these to anyone, since they mostly cause frustration (for us and our kid).

Need better quality control
This set of sippy straw bottles was a convenient choice for me because we already use Dr. Brown’s narrow bottles. The bottles are generally good, but sometimes the nipple loosens, pressure builds up inside the bottle, or something else causes the straw to stop working properly. When that happens, my kids can’t get any water through the straw, which is frustrating. The gray bottle seems to have this issue more noticeably than the others. The product could use better quality control to ensure each bottle works properly.
