Changing the plugs on Toyota Corolla/ RAV 4 with inline 4, DOHC requires a tool like this. The spark plugs are super thin and long and the ignition coil holes are narrow. Your standard spark plug socket with a rubber grip will not fit in this space, so a magnet performs that function. I tested it out with some old plugs and it does a great job. Fit the spark plugs perfectly, and liked the magnetic hold.
