does not show tidal high and low correctly.. I let it run for over a month , I made adjustments every few days. didn't work properly. Waste of money. I went over return dates limit.. Buy elseware. ( East coast)

Bought this movement for a DIY laser-engraved tide clock. It’s easy to assemble, but the timing drifts out of sync after a few weeks, even when set precisely to the new moon. For a decorative wall piece it gets the job done and looks great, but it requires regular resetting to stay accurate.

This clock movement is aligned to the daily lunar cycle. As east coast US tides are synced to the lunar cycle, the clock can predict tides. If you do a bit of research, it’s best to set high tide on the day of a new moon. This minimizes weekly tide fluctuations.

This was to replace a dead movement on a 4 year old tidal clock. Installing it was easy and the unit appeared identical to the original movement. It is tough to believe that these things have such a limited life span and hope that the defect of the original was a one time event.

The tide clock works. But the hand is a garbage. It was bent when it came. And now it is bent on the clock and I can’t get it to look straight or even. But this is like the only one Amazon sells ?

I've had the same beautiful tide clock for over 25 years but the mechanism finally gave up. This new mechanisim fits perfectly
