Aqua Lung i300 Dive Computer

Clean, big, heavy, works well under water..use as a backup, (I LOVE). My line of sight from my emmitter attached to my tank, cut off my computer (one time too manny)Take this from a 65year old wise man...Any man who trust his life 100% in a bunch of battries is down right CRAZY.

This is a good solid recreational dive computer. It will do everything you want for shore dives, boat dives, and is compatible with Nitrox. Very simple to understand. Controls are pretty simplistic and easy to navigate once you learn the sequences of the two buttons. I used it the first time to check it out in a pool dive and it did everything it was supposed to do. Aqua Lung provides a cheesy small laminated card for basic start up, but it’s not very informative. It included a CD for the actual user menu. Once that is accessed set up and programming are a breeze. You can also access the user menu online at aqualung. My only issue was that it arrived with a dead battery in the computer so the first thing I had to do was remove the computer puck from the console and go to the store and get a new battery to replace the old one. Also, the picture used by the seller clearly shows a compass included in the packaging, but it came without one. It seems this will vary on which distributer send the package to you as it seems some include one and others don’t. The i300 does not normally come with it, but the picture used clearly shows one included in the packaging.

I bought this as a second set of great so my buddy wouldn't have to rent during her trip to dive with me for her Masters research. It failed, so we had to rent gear anyway. Amazon wouldn't exchange it, they only gave me a refund which didn't help, it left me with no console.

I bought this primarily so I could replace the spot on my console that was for my dive computer with this depth gauge, and mount my I300 onto the wrist strap. I purchased an Aqualung BCD set which included a console with the I300 and the pressure gauge in it. I wanted to mount the I300 on a wrist strap, but Aqualung customer service (in all their wisdom) said I could not do it because the I300 on the console lacks the "legs" to mount onto the wrist strap. I decided, however, to go with my gut and order it, because I believed it was possible despite what the "experts" told me. The I300 from the console mounts perfectly onto this wrist strap (confirming my assumption that Aqualung would not manufacture 2 separate I300's).Life lesson: If someone tells you that you can't do something but you believe it is possible, follow your heart and go for it. #followyourdreams #listentoyourheart #youonlyliveonceI will follow up with a review of the depth gauge when I try it out.

Not sure why they are calling it a dive computer. It’s a depth gauge which is obvious so I knew that when I ordered it and that’s what was delivered
