I purchased this origanally for my family Christmas gift exchange. We decided we would do something different for the exchange, so we played this game where you roll dice and depending on the number determines what you do. Starting off after everyone gets a gift you then either passed the gift left or right, keep the gift you have, or swap with whomever you want. Play a few rounds, and whatever you are left with at the end is what you get. Some how I ended up with my gift, this item.It does NOT take batteries. You will be trapped by a cord, which is longer then I expected which is nice.I love it so far! I only rated it 4 stars mostly due to the fact I wish the the straps or whatever you want to call them are not as long as they really should be. I've read suggestions that you can make some sort of attachment to lengthen it so you can be able to hold onto it comfortably. I love being able to use it for more then just on my neck/shoulders. Works great on my lower back.I also suggest to start off switching it down to the lowest setting like the instructions say. Definitely will make the area sore after use unless you are used to it. The heat is glorious as well! It helped work out pain in my neck from accidentally sleeping wrong. It also is great to use after a long day of work to just help relax and unwind.* I did discover it was auto shuts off if it gets too warm, and will not let you turn it back on till it is cools down enough *

Have neck stiffness and tight muscles in shoulders. Not much relief from it, but I don't use it on a regular basis. Wish the heat was warmer; still the message helps a little.

The product does very well at hitting the points needed, however without having adjustments for the arms, you can not truly relax if you have a larger build. I plan to create an adapter so I can allow my arms to relax at the optimal height and still use this device.

My shoulders have been giving me a variety of grief in recent years and I find that using this massager has helped to ease the tension in my shoulders/lower neck after sitting at my desk all day.I think it helps to extend the time between physio appointments too, which is what I was hoping.You can adjust the tension and the location as you are using it by adjusting your arms etc. Helps to get into all the tight spots.

The motors lacked the strength to really work on any tight muscles and shut off constantly during general use within a minute.

I’ve bought 4 over the cause of 2 months as gifts. Very well received.
