KenkoTokina ATX-i 11-20mm F2.8 Canon EF-S Mount

I use a 17-55 f2.8 lens for my YouTube videos in a studio, great lens, but I want a little more width available in my shot since I film in such a small room. Plus, the f2.8 is a MUST for indoor filming. I use a 32" monitor to set up my shots and make sure I'm looking right before hitting record. Immediately I notice this Tokina is sharper, clearer, nicer looking, in the monitor. The AF is fast enough (a little noisier than my other lens, but I use body-worn and shotgun mics). The bokeh is noticeably nicer and more pronounced at f2.8. Just a few feet behind me the set looks nicely blurred as my face is crystal. I'm so glad I bought this lens!

Best lens I think under a grand.

El problema, resulta que el enfoque automático no sirve, y ya había leído en otras paginas incluso comentarios aqui que venían con un problema con el enfoque automático pero quise arriesgarme.total se puede usar el enfoque manual. PERO.Enfoque manual parece estar trabado,simplemente no baja a manual suena como si se trasroscara el engrane, es muy dificil enfocar ya que al mover el enfoque se barre, es como si bajara solo un cuarto a donde tiene que bajar los engranes, es muy muy dificil lograr enfocarlo desafortunadamente tuve una mala experiencia con este lente y por eso pediré la devolución para adquirir el 11-16 que por lo visto tiene una mejor calificación en Amazon espero no llevarme la misma desilucion ya que leo algunos comentarios que tienen la misma situacion sea 11-20 o 11-16.ACTUALIZACION ACTUALIZACIONOlvide por completo actualizar la información, solicite el cambio de producto por medio de Amazon lo cual tardo 1 mes aproximadamente y el nuevo objetivo llego en perfecto estado, todo sirve perfectamente es un lente con un buen ángulo de visión, justo lo que buscaba, las fotos nítidas, no pude ver presencia de aberración, en retrato a 20mm F2.8 (que no es para eso) hace un bokee muy bonito mas plano. Lo use por mas de un año pero lo vendi ya que me pase a full Frame, sin embargo sigo recomendando el lente por su calidad y versatilidad normalmente lo utilice para astrofotografia

This is a brilliant product from Tokina. corner to corner sharp, constant aperture at 2.8 is fast enough for low light photography in this ultra wide range. Outperforms many much pricier lenses. Solid build. Internal Focus (IF) is great help. Perfect Tokina color rendering. Provides full frame illumination after 16mm.The Only negative feature is balance of weights. The torque factor creates some difficulty with about 100mm length and 550gm weight on a Canon EOS body without image stabilisation.Also, highs and lows are tricky to manage without post processing. Seems this lens is part of upgrading for making the older 11-16mm design future ready for higher dynamic range and high resolution sensors (as mentioned before it behaves full frame after 16mm).Distortion exists but manageable with post processing.

I love the bokeh and image quality and It is an excellent pair for a gimbal. I wish the focus ring was not a switch of AF/MF.
