How to make them stay in place.
The filters don’t stay in place, they constantly ending up inside food trash. Simple robber band solved the problem, see picture.When I lost original filters definitely could smell food leftovers and almost instantly fruit flies appeared. Couldn’t get rid of them, ordered filters and back to normal.Love my compost caddy!

They definitely stop the odor.

Filters work - but fall off easily.
I found that the filters do not fit snugly on the post and have a tendency to fall off into the compost. I needed to put some green painters tape around the post to make it a snugger fit.
