VRLegend branded Men's Ratchet Dress Belt - smart and accurate
This belt arrived packed in a decent presentation box, making it ideal to buy and give someone as a present. A lot of attention to detail with the presentation for such a simple product, and I liked that. The belt itself is leather (although very little leather smell) and has a smart patterning that doesn't overpower. The ratchet buckle is impeccable, a nice sheen, extremely smart, and looks far superior worn with dress pants than a traditional type of buckle. The belt arrives in two parts, the leather section and the buckle, and customers have to put them together. At the moment, I am uncertain about the permanence of fitting the flat end of the belt into such a small opening and relying on metal teeth to hold it in place, but time will tell on that one and if I experience problems in the future I will update my review.Fitting the belt into the ratchet-style buckle was easy. Simply lift up the edge, push the belt in, pull to fit and push the top of the buckle back down. This really does give a smart finish to trousers.Another advantage is, if you find there is too much belt hanging out once you have fitted it, reducing the size is a breeze. Simply measure the length you want to remove and then take out the flat end of the belt and cut off the excess from there. Nothing could be simpler to achieve a perfectly fitted belt.Although I have some reservations about the flat edge of the belt being held in place with such small teeth, I am still going to give this 5 stars because it really does the job and does look much smarter than a traditional style of belt.

Much prefer the ratchet system to a conventional belt.
This is the second VRLEGEND ratchet belt I own, exactly the same as the last, but with a different "lift to release" buckle design. It is made of beautiful quality, semi matt finish grainy leather, and comes in a very nice black box, so it would make a lovely gift idea.Until recently I was new to this type of belt, because it doesn't use holes to tighten, or loosen it, and instead, the underneath of the belt has a hard rubber/plastic strip, with a series of ratchets. You thread the belt through the buckle, and pull to the desired tightness, and a catch on the underneath of the belt locks onto the appropriate ratchet, and holds the belt firmly in place. You can release it, or adjust it further by lifting the buckle up slightly, which is really quick and easy. The quality of this belt is first class, and the matching buckle is really attractive.Since owning a "ratchet" belt, I haven't used my conventional belts very often at all. They are so much more practical, and with no holes, the leather won't start to look "frayed", and worn. The belt is available in a variety of sizes, and two colours. If you need to shorten it, you can easily remove the buckle by lifting the locking flap, cutting to size, and then reattaching the buckle by pushing the locking flap back into place. It's easy, and takes just a few seconds. As the buckle comes disassembled from the belt inside the box, you will have to attach it before wearing it anyway.Price wise this belt is excellent value, and I have no hesitation in giving this the full 5 stars. I can highly recommend it.

Smart, lightly textured leather-type belt
VERSION: RATCHET BUCKLEThis is my first time with a ratchet-type buckle belt and I am really impressed. It gives the flexibility to easily loosen or tighten without the worry of having to bore in an extra hole or two!Contrary to the suggestion of one of the current stock images, it is not reversible to show the tan side on this ratchet style, in my experience, unless I am missing something! The belt I received measures around 3.5 cm wide x 112 cm in length, shaped at one end.The in-built ratchet allows for around a 22 cm variation in usable length. As per the enclosed instruction leaflet, the other (straight) end could be cut to make the belt smaller and reduce the overlap, if required, especially as there is no retainer. As pictured in the stock images above, the quality belt came impeccably packed, nestling in a neat pull-out drawer of a branded cardboard gift box measuring around 13 cm x 12.5 cm x 5.5 cm.The belt is lightly textured on the dark side and was packed in a cellophane-type packet and rolled to fit in the box; the relatively chunky, shiny finish buckle separate with a layer of plastic-type film protecting the front that needs removing.[11 images attached]

Go for a larger one and cut it down for a perfect fit.
Right from the off this belt makes a good impression. It arrives in a very handsome box, making it the ideal gift. Some assembly is required, but nothing even an idiot could not do. Basically you insert the end of the belt into the buckle (make sure its the right way up) and lock it into place with the spiked clamp. Simple. The belt itself works like a very big cable tie. The buckle ratchets on a toothed strip built into the rear of the belt. Just feed the belt though the buckle and pull it to the required tightness.Due to the position of the ratchet strip sizing is important. You cant just punch another hole like a traditional belt. The instructions mention cutting the buckle end down to get the right length, so to this end it might be better going larger and cutting it to fit. That said i ordered the 34 - 36 and it fits well.Very impressed with this. I have my doubts as to how long the plastic teeth will last but we shall see.

Easy adjustable fit
If you need to fine tune the fit you can cut the belt to fit the buckle to fine tune it to your exact size needed. Easy simple instruction to attach buckle and no holes to wear out snaps in place anywhere for that nice comfortable fit, I am tempted to buy one of these for another pair of pants I have as this is a reviewers test.Update: Just ordered another one
