First photo is hair fall out that caused me to order the IRestore wired pro. This was just from washing and brushing. I only wash once a week because the fall out was so bad when I washed. I got my pro the end of April and immediately started using that with Nutrafol vitamins and this is my fall out washing and brushing now. It’s NORMAL! I can see some grow in in the thinning spots now and it gives me hope. I’ll still have to cut my hair as the middle to bottom has lost over 50 percent density and it’s awful but to have HOPE and see the fall out is so much less truly is amazing. If you’re on the fence just get it.

I am giving this product a 5 star so far. I am giving this review because the customer service and follow-up from I restore has been incredible. After purchasing the product and registering the warranty they keep in touch to see how you are doing and if you have questions. The product is packaged well and is easy to use and comfortable. I am 4 weeks into use every other day. I have had increased shedding to start with which customer service said is normal and probably a good thing as I body will replace with stronger hair. I will follow-up with this review after longer use.

It is working. Wish I had known about their elite model before I bought this one but this one is still good.

This red light therapy professional helmet is made well. Easy to use with the simple buttons on remote to operate. I’m happy to say it’s soft and comfortable while using. I’ve used it every other day as recommended. It’s only been a total of 4x using, but here’s what I’ve noticed so far. I’ve had a lot of hair fall out prior to using this device which was already scary for me. I was a little concerned as the company says possible hair shedding as the weak hair comes out and stronger hair will grow. It made sense to me. Today I’ve noticed a significant improvement of hair shedding than prior to using this device and fuller hair at the crown. I was super happy not to see so much hair coming out from my head. I will continue to use and I’m sure I will be back to update on my hair experience at month six. Maybe 5 stars?!?! TBD. Also I know it a pricey device, however the company offers a money back guarantee if you don’t see or have improvements with your journey. A win win imo. Update: Here’s before & after pics of my hair using the iRESTORE helmet from 12/29/26 to 5/26/26 approximately 5 months use every other day as directed. I did start using the iRESTORE shampoo & conditioner at some point in the beginning of February 2026 and continue to use today. I really like it! I’ve seen positive progress in growth & thickening of my hair. I hope this helps someone to feel like there’s hope in getting results like I have:)

It's a really well designed product. The helmet fits well and has slots for the lights to vent, to minimize heat buildup. Might be nice if they had some holes in the plastic on the inside so the heat could rise from your head, but that's minor, it never gets hot. They give enough cord so I can sit at a desk and have it plugged int he wall nearby with no stretched cables. The control it intuitive and I like that there is a pause button in case you need to get up. I don't see any way to change the time from 25 minutes, but with the pause button that's not really necessary. I cannot speak to the efficacy of the helmet as I only recently received it. Therefore I am not rating if for value. I am also using other treatments at the same time, so would be difficult to know what to attribute any potential hair growth to. 1/11/25 - Update. After 9 months the iRestore helmet developed an issue where it would not turn on properly, so I reached out to support. I had registered the product, so had a warranty. I used chat to reset the helmet, but that did not work unfortunately. The following day I sent an email to support, fearing that I would not be able to get it repaired. To my amazement I received a reply back within 10 minutes, from both support and the CEO of the company! Wow!! Now that is customer service! He told me that they would ship a new helmet out within two days and would arrange for shipping of the broken unit. They are even throwing in some hair care products, which I have tried and really liked. I raised my review from 4 to 5 Stars for their incredible support. While I cannot say exactly which of the three things I am doing has contributed to new hair growth iRestore is a company that clearly stands behind their product, which is amazing in today's world of broken service promises and phone trees.

At this point I am sorry that I ever started treatment with this helmet! I’ve been using it as directed for the past seven weeks. Before purchasing, I researched light therapy helmets and nowhere did I see the warning to expect significant loss of hair in the first three months. Turns out, that’s what happens. I am distressed beyond words. I have lost so much hair. I no longer have bangs; they’re gone. I am now just praying to get back to where I started. I am going to have to buy a wig to get through the next months until my hair (hopefully) grows back. I’m going to have to stick it out since I’ve gone this far but had I known what was going to happen, I NEVER would have started. I would have stuck with serums and supplements. Honestly, I am in such distress over how much hair I have lost and how horrible it looks. If my hair grows back and looks fantastic ten months from now, I still would say it’s not worth the first six months of horrific hair loss. It’s not even about how expensive the helmet is. Were they sorry and wanted to give my money back? Was I going to have to return the' helmet from hell' to get my substantial amount of money back? I didn't know from that vague response. I have now spent hundreds of dollars on hair pieces and visits to my hair stylist to try to cope with my baldness on the front of my head, so I felt as if it would be nice to get some kind of refund from the perpetrator. I did as it said and replied, Full Refund. Then I got the response they probably should have led with. Madelaine from the Customer Satisfaction Team sent a lengthy email describing the cycle of hair loss and offering hope that it will work itself out if I keep at it. No offer of any money back, just an offer to extend the warranty period from 6 to 12 months. Whoopie! I stand by my warning. Don't try this helmet for hair growth unless you are willing to go nearly bald before it gets better. I am beside myself. I hate trying hair pieces to cover my baldness. I didn't need that before I used this helmet. I truly wish I had never tried this stupid helmet. Use your money for supplements and serums. They won't cause your little hair that you have to fall out! I'll keep updating my review every few weeks to let you know how I progress.... BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HELMET!!!!

Pick a set time to use it on the schedule set for your device. I put it on my head when I am eating breakfast and reading the news. A perfect time - you eat breakfast every day, you get it done early and then you can forget about it until the next session. I have been using it for 5 weeks so it is too soon to hope for visible results.

Easy to use. I like using it every other day. 25 mins. goes by quickly; wear it while I am on the laptop or watching TV. I find it a good tool in keeping hair loss at bay.

This did absolutely nothing to help me with either new hair growth or prevent hair shedding. Been using it religiously for over 12 months, started using it every two days then switched to every three days. Decided to stop using it now as I'm not realizing any benefit, only worsening. Haven't seen any new growth since using this product, no improvement at all in hair volume, texture, strength or quality. Finding the same amount of hair in the drain, same amount of hair on the floor and in my comb. The product claims to have FDA approval, but only for laser use and not as a hair growth product. The product claims to generate no heat, but you'll notice warming of your scalp in the 25 minutes of individual use (could just be poor ventilation). Frankly, my scalp sweats while I use this device. The cord also makes movement very restrictive during use. I found myself scheduling my day around time to fit in use of this product was a complete waste of time. If you're using other products in combination with this device, be careful about application. I found applying Rogaine even a few hours before or after this device causes significant scalp irritation, probably because of the additional blood flow, but don't think the combination of the two products helped in my situation. Be skeptical of any claims in improvement with hair volume or quality within weeks or even a month or two of use. It takes months to see improvements. It you're not seeing new tiny hair growth, or reduction in shedding, it's not working. Probably best to focus on health, diet and nutrition rather than waste your money on this. I consider myself to be a reasonably healthy person, so I think I'm doing all the right things.

I purchased the iRestore Professional helmet almost 2 years ago. I have female pattern hairloss (FPHL) and thinning hair that has increased since menopause. I did a great deal of research before deciding to spend this amount of money on a device that made claims to help with hair loss. For me, there was adequate research showing that red light therapy can help with thinning hair and I was specifically looking for a device with a wavelength of 650 nm -- the iRestore Professional has 655 nm. Also, I contacted the iRestore company to ensure that I could get the company's 12 month money back guarantee (not just the Amazon's return policy) before purchasing, in the event I didn't like the device or didn't see results, which the company agreed to. So after 2 years what are my thoughts? The device has worked as it should since day 1, with zero issues. The comfort of the helmet is quite good, but I sometimes need to readjust it when I first put it on. Having said that, sometimes I forget to take it off, so that speaks to its level of comfort. You do have to sit with a blinking helmet on your head, which looks a bit ridiculous, so this is something to consider. I use my iRestore helmet consistently, every second day, as recommended, so you should take into account whether or not you are someone who follows routines. Previous to the helmet I used a laser comb, and the helmet is by far much easier to use. The results? I have experienced, and continue to experience, new hair growth along my temples, but little to none down the center of my scalp. I also started taking saw palmetto around the same time as I began using the iRestore helmet, so it is difficult to say if the hair growth along my temples is solely due to the helmet, the saw palmeto or both. Although some may see results with just the iRestore helmet or just saw palmetto, after years of attempting to solve my hair loss issues, it is my belief that multiple interventions are the best approach to slowing down my hair loss. I will continue to use my iRestore helmet and would recommend the helmet if you are a person who follows routines consistently. But it is important to be realistic in your expectations of what red light therapy can do for your hair loss.
