These are definitely a good quality fox tail. I used to have a coat that had a fox tail scarf and this is identical.This is a REAL tail. It's not faux fur. You can tell it's a real tail, not only by the weight by by the separation of hairs and examination. It appears to be a dyed fur, because if you separate the guard hairs it appears so, but for the price you definitely cannot complain. Most furs are dyed anyway.The clip is very strong. I bought it to wear as a hip clip and it is very nice for that.My only complaint is that I ordered the Platinum, because it appeared very red. The one I recieved was more the Gun. Maybe it's just how they look on the screen.The tail is very long. It's about 17" not including any part of the clip.

This tail is HUGE! It's about 20 inches with the clip. It's nice and soft. It hasn't shed at all and doesn't have a smell.I've spent twice as much for smaller tails than this one, so I wasn't sure if it was going to be trash or not. It's a lot nicer than I expected!

I tugged on the metal piece rather harshly and it is still attached. The reason for the missing star is I do see where there is a possibility of the metal coming off with time. However, it is long and fluffy AND perfect for my cosplay needs! I'll update later if something happens.

I love the length. Might have to order a darker golden color although I do enjoy this one.

Fluffy, shakes out nicely, true to color, soft.. about 14 inches in length and perfect size for my project! Reasonably priced as well..

Plush, fluffy, and realistic. Not sure if it's real or synthetic. Are foxes made in China?
