Review: Makes everything look delicious. - We are very happy with these Libbey Crisa Moderno bowls. We purchased the Libbey Crisa Moderno dinner plates first, and a few weeks later we purchased the bowls. We had the entire Libbey Crisa Moderno set on our wishlist for a long time. We waited a while to get these, and we have not been disappointed with our purchase. This is such a pretty set of bowls. The modern bowls are deep and can fit large servings of food. The clear glass looks really nice with everything. I would even go so far as to say that our food, in general, looks more appetizing in these bowls. Just do not put them in the microwave. Neither the product page, nor the actual item that arrived at our house noted whether or not these were microwave safe. They did indicate that they were dishwasher safe, so we just assumed, like most bowls people buy, that these were microwave safe. Well, one day a libbey dinner plate exploded on me and got glass everywhere and I was cut. In short, DO NOT MICROWAVE this item. desertcart was going to look into the product page for safety purposes - and perhaps now the product page or item itself has been updated with this information. One thing about this item is that the stickers/labels on the bottom of each bowl have been difficult to remove. We still have not completely been able to remove the stickers, but they would probably come off with a cleaning product like Goo-be-gone. We just haven't taken the time to do that yet. The set comes with 12 bowls, which we are also very happy about. We never run out of clean bowls. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for clear dishes, or any new, modern looking bowls.
Review: Lots of glass bowls - I've got all this fancy china and never use it so I don't care if these bowls are "common". I could only have them if I bought 12. Well, I have had 2 bowls just like them I got about five years ago and wondered what on earth I'd do if I broke one or both because I use them all the time. I didn't need 12 but I wanted to get free shipping on something cheaper so now I have 14, almost an identical match in size, appearance but just slightly different. They are really thick glass and might be oven proof if you don't go too hot. So there's that option I'm going to try. Also may use them for steam molds because I'm really into that now, steamed puddings and Asian recipes for steamed (all sorts of things on Youtube). They are wonderful soup and chili bowls, ice cream bowls, our family kind of strawberry shortcake bowls, small mixing bowls, good for the lettuce and extras when you have Mexican, probably dozens of things to use them for. I saw where some people weren't too thrilled with them, but I am and wish I'd had these years ago. I love glassware because it looks clean and sparkly.

Fantastic dishware. I bought these bowls, dinner plates, and saucers last month and am very happy I did. Granted the dishware I've used for the past 10 years had pink flowers all over them (so any change is a welcome change) but this set is just what I was looking for. The stickers that are on each bowl are fairly annoying (especially with three sets of dishes), but a bit of "Goo Gone" got excess gunk off easy enough. I even managed to drop one or two into the sink while rinsing them and they didn't even crack. I know some people say the bowls are small, but I'm not sure why. I personally think the size is perfect and am very glad they're not any bigger. It's a great amount for cereal and salads, and I've even used them to hold extra ingredients while cooking (they fit right in with my Pyrex mixing bowls). In fact, I wish I had them 3 weeks ago at a dinner party. I didn't have enough dishes to hold the different snacks, chips, and dips and these would've been perfect. Only thing negative I can say is that it's easy to see fingerprints on them. But that's more of a personal thing (my fingers are notorious for leaving prints on everything), and it's not like other dishware is finger print proof, you just won't see it as easily as you would with the clear dishware. As far as shipping, I too have had problems with Target shipping me Libbey items intact, but fortunately Amazon was the shipper and each of the 36 piece arrived flawless.
