The strap is advertised as a banjo strap but the hooks will definitely damage your banjo. The strap ends are not leather from what I can see. Aside from that it is a good strap for a purse. To use for a banjo you must remove the hooks and use something to tie it on. The only way to remove the hooks is to carefully cut the metal with something like a Dremel. The strap adjustment slides are also metal and will bang the banjo . Don't know if it's worth the effort to adapt this for banjo but I did.

I bought this as a purse strap and I love the look of it. Very nice, nice clasps.

Maybe it’s because my skin is sensitive and I have a short neck or something but this strap bugs me. It’s really, really pretty and very sturdy so it should last a good long time but it itches something awful and I can’t get it to fit right on me. It might work really well for others, though.

I think the strap has a great aesthetic, but it is a little itchy if it's resting on bare skin. Additionally, using this strap with my Ibanez B50 banjo results in noisy vibration if I'm not careful about how the clips are oriented. I'd probably still buy it for the looks alone, though.

I used this as an alternative purse strap (normal purse straps are generally too thin and cause pain to my shoulder); whereas this strap is beautifully embroidered and quality-made, the only issue I’m having is that the edges are very sharp and abrasive; it’s causing irritation to my neck.
