Dear buyer,this is monitor for camera,and it is not waterproof because of vent, please do not use this product in an outdoor environment.

No,dear buyer. The brightness only be adjusted by yourself via 3 buttons at the back of monitor. And you can also adjust the contrast,satuation, language and mode expect brightness. Hope this helps.
