Look fine, heavy, easy to install, fairly square and straight.
This is about a 4.5 star product. The look, as mentioned by other posters, is less shiny and more powdery gray. I couldn't care less, as these went in a closet. Slight downgrade for 1 of 9 brackets having a slight twist in the arm upon which the shelf lays. Overall, well made, appealing appearance, heavy and beefy, and 22", about, projection from wall. Could not find anything similar at the big box stores. In terms of weight, these will have vacuums and tissues and canned goods on them, so not much weight. Holes are the right size, the offset location of the top holes is nice. I don't know what you intend to put on these brackets, but a 3" lag bolt seems like overkill to me unless you are really going to load these.

Hey...it's a bracket!
I ordered 8 to put up a couple 8 ft. long, 2 ft. deep plywood shelves in the garage. They installed fine and appear to be consistent in quality and dimensions.I installed them through sheet-rock into studs, and you'll need 3 lag bolts per bracket to install. I used 3 1/2 inch long, 5/16 inch lag screws. To affix the shelf to the bracket, I used 1 inch #8 machine screws and bolts that I countersunk flush with the plywood. You can use up to 3 screws per bracket to affix the shelf, but I only used two.As some other reviewer mentioned, if you are concerned about the appearance, they are painted a gray-ish silver. Do not expect to get "shiny" stainless steel or aluminum type look that the picture indicates. In the end...it's a shelf bracket! But I had no luck finding any this size at my local DIY store...Amazon to the rescue again!

These are beefy
These do not look quite like the photo. In the photo they are more of a metallic silver. The ones I received were more of a dull gray. I don't really care about that though. They can be painted or powder coated pretty easily. I ordered a bunch and they all come intact. They are pretty beefy and the perfect size for a garage shelf. I could not find these anywhere locally and the largest I could find at big box was only 12", which makes for a dinky garage shelf. I hung two of these up on the wall spaced 32" apart, placed a 2x4 across them and then hung off the 2x4 to test them out. These are rated for 1200lbs or so, probably around 600 for 32" spacing, but they didn't budge or bend with me hanging on them (only 180lbs). That's good enough for me. I used these with a box of WoodPro Fasteners ST516X318-25PC screws: WoodPro Fasteners ST516X318-25PC 5/16-Inch by 3-1/8-Inch Length Round Washer Head Exterior Wood Screws, 25-Pack

This allows the feeder to be high and out of reach of cats but easy to lower and fill
I'm using this bracket to hang a bird feeder. I put a small pulley at the end of the long arm and another small pulley on the post that it is attached to. This allows the feeder to be high and out of reach of cats but easy to lower and fill. I use a small boat dock rope cleat fastened to the post to wrap and secure the small rope used to raise and lower. This arm is very sturdy. Should last a long time.

Do not listen to the bad reviews....
So what they are not titanium and if they were, they would be 5 X's the cost, and to the other bad reviews, it is just not true, these are good and strong, they are not decorative brackets, these are meant to be used for a garage, basement, or dorm room... I used them in my barn and found them to be very strong and well made. The cost is a wee bit high but they are very strong and worth the cost. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is due to cost...

Great brackets
I purchased a number of these to build wide garage shelving supporting quite a bit of weight. Packaging was marginal and both boxes had been re-taped along the way. The brackets, however, were totally fine and are well-made, substantial supports. They installed easily as all were square and the holes drilled evenly and consistently. They have a good profile with the brace fairly close to the wall, saving space underneath. The color is a fairly neutral silver-gray.Five stars for the brackets, but no stars for packaging, so four stars overall

Functional
Ordered 3 brackets to support a 180lb. granite countertop/bar in a pass through to my dining room. I attached a 3/4" plywood base (countersunk the bolts) to the brackets and used lag bolts through a ledger board at the wall side and then into the wall studs. I only used 2 brackets. After the base install I sat on the constructed base. The brackets supported my weight with any flex or movement. They are strong and do the job. They may not be the most attractive brackets but with a little creativity they can be hidden, in my case I plan on hiding them in a constructed cabinet. Granite Corbels can be hundreds of dollars and finding a 22" corbel is a chore. This was a perfect inexpensive solution.

Great for garage shelving
These were the largest brackets I could find that were suitable for installing garage shelving. I installed them in every stud and used 3/4" plywood. They are strong and look fine. The paint was chipping a little on one bracket, however, I don't care as they are strong and do exactly what I need.
