After changing this unit the hot started coming from the right side and cold from the left side, what did I do wrong?

Yes, you need to rotate both pressure unit & valve 180*.

How do you service this?

There is no servicing required it is to replace a faulty unit. The assembly is secured by a brass retainer ring with three screws.

Will this solve my problem of not getting the desired water mix (hot and cold) ? Water either comes out as hot or cold, and nothing in between.
