I bought this bike to assist with uphill peddling. I like to bring my little pup with me when we go bike riding but going uphill can be a challenge with her in the basket. So the peddle assist is perfect for this situation. I was also experiencing some knee pain from longer rides so this bike helped with that too.Assembly:Putting the bike together took a while as the instructions are very confusing but I went on youtube and figured it out. The basket holes did not line up with the bracket so we had to modify the basket to fit which was very tricky.The biggest issue I have is the key to turn on the battery is below the seat and hard to reach when you're on the bike. This becomes an issue because there is no on/off switch to go from power to no power, you must use the key. So when you start peddling the peddle assist kicks in which takes away the resistance on the peddles... so you have to stop peddling for the bike peddles to catch up. If the bike had a push button on the handlebars to engage power when needed for peddle assist it would make it easier to operate. I find myself constantly turning the key on and off to accommodate going up and downhill. So reaching down below the seat for that key is not easy.*The bike does have a throttle if you want to go completely electric without peddling at all which is a nice feature.UPDATE: I unplugged the pedal assist and now it works awesome! https://youtu.be/YQ26ItjIBhUOverall I am very satisfied with the bike and it seems to never run out of battery. We have gone on many long trips 10+ miles and always have a lot of battery life left. It's very comfortable, I'm 5'4 with long legs and it fits me just fine. The seat is a little firm but is made well, the basket is plastic but still looks nice. It rides very smoothly and looks great too.

This bike is well made and rides comfortably well on flat, paved surfaces. Acceleration in pedal assist mode is good but the power and torque becomes weak on steeper upgrades. In such circumstances the motor seems underpowered. This is probably due to the weight, which is quite heavy. Bike rides ok on flat off road trails but ride becomes quite bumpy on rougher terrain. The battery life is excellent. No digital display module. The analogue controls take a bit getting used to.

Arrived on time, assembly was close to expected. Had one bolt, that had been cross-threaded at factory, or it got banged up during shipping. Easy fix, was not a problem. I chose this bike, simply because, it was shipped from a warehouse/distributor in the states. I live in the country, and chose a model with some gears, but I was aware, this is still a very entry level bike. It's wonderful. Do I wish I had bought a bigger motor? Yes. Mountain bike style? Yes. This is a very nice bike to ride. At almost 50, I can ride 25 miles, with enjoyment. The seat is uncomfortable and the basket is plain cheap/ugly. Did not receive a helmet, but desired a higher end helmet, anyway. I will upgrade in the spring, and very happily pass this beauty on to my daughter.October 2023.. still being ridden almost daily..

So comfortable, performance is on point, the battery lasts so long I was amazed. Light weight. Great value for my money.

The bicycle's fastening screws (nuts and bolts) were missing upon delivery. While attempting to assemble it myself, I was unable to do so properly, and ultimately had to pay extra to have it assembled at an electric bicycle shop. However, due to the missing fastening screws, the bike made a very loud noise every time I rode it. I had to pay additional costs to get the nuts and bolts repaired at the electric bicycle shop. The lack of parts caused delays and extra expenses. Please be cautious.

Assembly was less than ideal for anyone who's never worked on a bike. Adjusting the front bakes was a pain without instructions, but I succeeded . There's an assembly sheet , separate from the manual which is nice. The instructions would benefit greatly if they contained a picture of the bike you ordered. I finally just got out the computer and looked on line. I was also slightly disappointed with the slim discussion about operational factors.On the plus side, once you get the bike together and take that first ride, you'll be impressed. Not just a little, but a lot. The bike was for my spouse and once she hopped on after a good read of the manual, we were both impressed.The quality of the build was more than I expected. Even the hardware is quality.Be aware that tracking an order from Nakto is a bit different. You will get a UPS tracking number which you should use separately from the Amazon site. It worked fine, the Amazon tracking did not. Finally received bike after a month but they did say it would be a wait.So far, we don't regret getting the Nakto bike and who knows, I may even get one for myself.I recommend this bike to anyone looking to get into a reasonably priced electric bike.UPDATE -- June 2020. I did order another Nakto bike. I considered reducing my rating after receiving my second , but at this price I have to expect less than perfection.My main issue with the second bike was the rear wheel assembly which wasn't even close to being straight. That's an area of an e-bike I wanted to avoid but had to dig into it. It wasn't loose and wasn't hard to realign, but that is a basic issue to have wrong with the initial assembly. I've only pedaled the bike so far as I wait for the battery to finish charging. It pedaled just fine. So we both have one and are looking forward to some fun.It arrived in perfect condition just like my first e-bike from Nakto. If you just take your time and practice patience, these bikes are up and running and fine tuned in 1.5 hours. If you have something go awry just find someone to set it up for you. It's worth it.
