This product was exactly what I needed!If you have an item that attaches to something else, like a leash, backpack, etc... via a cheapo carabiner clip, you may have experienced the annoyance of having one of those clips bend or break because it happened to get caught on something. Thanks spring hinge is usually the weakest link and it doesn't take much to ruin them.These carabiner clips appear to be hollow, which keeps the weight down, but the metal seems to have good thickness, which provides much better strength than the really cheap clips, while being of a similar size. These close the link via a screwing action and the "bolt" is solid and sturdy. Not nearly as convenient as a spring clip, but at least you know that what you attach will stay attached. No lost key chain or equipment attached to a backpack, etc...I have no idea what the weight rating is, but I wouldn't trust them with heavy loads more suited to a real climbers' carabiner, but these are so much better than the really cheap clips you find on a lot of light weight items today.I used these to replace the cheap clips on a pair of water bottle sleeves used when backpacking and a dog poop bag roll dispenser that we keep attached to the handle of our dog's leash. I couldn't be happier, though I'll be watching for something of similar size and strength that uses a clip, for items that I would need to quickly and routinely clip and unclip.

I was looking for a locking solution for our newly installed fence gates. All caribeaners arrived to large/awkward to fit and we didn’t want to use an actual lock in case people inside our yard needed to get out or through. These were the perfect solution. They just fit and hopefully won’t rust being stainless. It would be too difficult for someone from the outside to twist and unlock these in any reasonable amount of time. We can now feel the perimeter is a bit more secure, as well as any kids or pets inside the fence.

As my title says these are Excellent Quality Carabiner-Links.Yes they are a little more expensive then some of the others, but being Stainless/good quality with a very good finish and a solid proper screw connection, makes them even better value for your money.Yes I would highly recommendThx Paul

Purchased to make extra security from foxes on a chicken coop, nice quality and does the job, only time will tell if it will rust.
