The right tool for the job
It's really hard to rave about such a ubiquitous utilitarian kitchen aid, but it's just the right size and so well made, sturdy, lightweight, and INEXPENSIVE that you have to give credit where credit is due.

I finally learned how to make boiled eggs
After years of struggling with egg shells getting stuck to my hard boiled eggs, I finally learned the method of boiling the water first, then putting the eggs into boiling water for 10-15 minutes, then immediately into cold / ice water to quickly cool. Finally I can peel my eggs easily. This slotted spoon comes in very handy for transferring eggs back and forth on both steps. It's a good quality spoon, and it probably has other uses, but I'm still amazed at being able to enjoy hard boiled eggs instead of shells with some egg on them. :-)

As with most things Farberware, excellent quality.
It is a spoon with holes, works like any spoon with holes for lifting things out of liquid. The difference is that it is Farberware and much higher quality than the cheaper plastic or plated metal spoons out there. No welds to rust or break, quality heat resistant plastic. Highly recommended.

Good price for a decent product
I bought this because of the price and because it's Farberware. It's worth the price.The handle is sturdy and long enough for a big pot. If you're using a stock pot, it might be short getting to the bottom, but it's a good length for regular us.The bowl of the spoon is a little thin and small. It's kind of deep and cuplike rather than wide, which is more useful.Still, overall, this is a good spoon for a good price.

The light weight and Quality plastic make this slotted spoon easy to use
Using quality plastic instead of heavier metal is the key to the easy use of this slotted spoon. It works great for things like getting rice out of the pot, or anything that is in liquid, but you don't want the liquid along with the item. I believe this is the best slotted spoon I have ever used.

Bought specifically for poached eggs.
Was so happy to find this drain spoon. Been making microwave poached eggs for a while and this is the perfect size and style to poor my finished egg into to drain after cooking. I think it is well made for the price.
