What Fun!
Our cat is extremely treat-motivated and can't get enough of her favorites, so I knew this would eventually be a hit. The first thing you need to do is introduce your cat to it by opening and closing the compartments, and sliding the others. Let her see treats in there, too. Eventually, she'll get the hang of it. This is especially a big hit at nighttime, when the cat's awake. I first let her see me place a few treats *on* the unit, instead of inside the compartments, and I was opening and closing the compartments and sliding the lids off others to let her observe and get used to it. In the morning the treats were gone. I slowly began letting her see me put a few treats *in* the compartments that don't have a cover, so she'd get used to getting the treats with her paw or tongue. You can also remove the two "balls" so your cat just sees the compartments with treats, then begin to put the balls on top. Your cat should then easily knock them off to reveal the treat. That's what I did and now the cat knocks them off overnight to get to the treats. The two compartments with levers were the last that she mastered. I left one of those open so she could see the treats, and eventually she was motivated enough to flip the lever on the compartments when closed. She only needed to do that once to catch on, but when she did, I was thrilled! So to sum up, you might want to first just place a couple of treats on the surface of the unit so your cat sees it as "friendly," then move to the slider compartments, and lastly, the levers. This toy is very well made, too, and doesn't move around on the floor, whether on carpeting or wood. The other day, I couldn't find one of the two balls, and knew it must've been batted under or behind something, so she enjoys playing with it overnight, which is nice. BTW, I covered that compartment with a ping pong ball because the cat loves those. I did eventually find the missing ball, but any small ball will fit on the round compartments if necessary. Another suggestion is to reduce your cat's treats a bit during the day. That should motivate her to do what needs to be done to retrieve the treats. The price was right and I'm very pleased with this because the cat likes it and makes the most of it, even just knocking off the balls lol. Give it a try.

Fabulously Amusing
My cat loves this. He enjoys his puzzles all day long and is particularly efficient with this one. When people come to the house, he shows them how he does his puzzles, lifting the little doors with his paws as he makes sure they watch. 😆

Easy to clean and gets my cat to use his brain skills
My cat was scared of this at first but once he gets into his treat mode he can’t leave it alone until he solves it. I did have one of the small doors break on the second day I had it but I super glued it and it’s fine now. This is the most efficient way I found to keep him occupied when I’m trying to get something done. The size is perfect for him even though I do see him struggling with eating straight from the little holes but he is learning to use his paws more. It is very light weight and I find it very easy to just throw some treats in different puzzle holes and let him do his thinking. I clean it once a week it is super easy to clean and it stays in good shape for a really long time. Overall it is perfect for my needs and the cats brain.

Fun and Well-Designed Puzzle for Small Portions
I love the Trixie cat puzzles! This is my third puzzle from this brand, and although my cat already knows how to solve it from the other puzzles, it’s still fun for her. I also love that they’re aesthetically pleasing. This one is especially nice for giving just a small amount of kibble.

Challenging and Highly Engaging Puzzle! A+ for Older Cats!
This cat puzzle is excellent, especially for my 10-year-old kitties! It's definitely a more challenging puzzle, which is exactly what I was looking for. It took them a little while to figure out the complex movements—they had to learn to work the handles and nudge the ball off the platform to access the treats underneath—but they were incredibly persistent! This puzzle was highly engaging and stimulating for them. It's a fantastic way to provide serious mental exercise for senior cats. Highly recommend for a real challenge!

He LOVES this thing
I would give this 10 stars if I could. I have a very active 1yr old, part Maine coon and he went to town on this thing for 15 minutes. He needed more interactive toys to keep his attention and this was perfect. I plan on getting it out late morning every day when he hits his energy boost!
