I adore these! I am a bit of a coloured pencil collector and these are up there with my go to FC Polychromos and Castle Arts (also an excellent budget brand). They glide on like butter and because of that they feel soft, but when you look at the tip you’ve barely used any! They blend and layer like a dream too and I was using them alongside my Polys to get a nicely blended Caucasian skin tone on a greyscale coloured picture. They have an excellent range of skintones, which I personally feel the Polys lack. The Polys also feel harder, but blend beautifully with the Starjoy. These would be a great choice for beginners to oil based coloured pencils - which ARE different to wax based - you need to apply light, soft layers to achieve a seamless blend. Then once you’re used to it, maybe get more expensive ones after you’ve mastered them. I have all (I think) of the high end expensive brands and lots of mid price range and budget pencils which are amazing quality - like Castle arts (every set!) and these Starjoy ones will be moved to a pencil case soon, so I can use them often! Buy them!!!

Love these pencils. Easy to blend and not too hard. Like how they are put together In colour groups and brilliant that you can read the colour name and number on the pencil

The starjoys are really good for the price, they blend, layer and mix really well, the barrels are more or less standard size, they lay down really soft though you will find yourself sharpening these pencils often, I’ve had minimal breakage on my set though your mileage may vary. The colour range is nice though they are ordered in trios which for me personally I prefer to organise mine into a spectrum I find that less restricting, functionally these will work well on colouring book paper and paper that’s designed for the pencils.As a recommendation because these pencils are only available in set form I would suggest using them up and gradually replacing them with pencils available in open stock.

These Pencils had been on my want list for over a year. And bought them when there was a discount. They are apart of my collection and will be used a lot in the future. They are great colours and good quality mid priced coloured pencils, I would easily recommend them for others to buy.

I was skeptical when I ordered these as the colour choices seemed a little strange but having tried them they work wonderfully and blend beautifully. The set includes ajin tone which are spot on and are tones I’ve being trying to find for years but every combination of other sets just never quite got what I liked. The pencils have sharpened well and so far I’ve had no breakages. I was a little concerned that for the thickness of the core the pencils seemed thin but I’ve had no issues with that. To me the only down side is that there isn’t a white, though I’m not sure if it will be needed.
