French Braid Obsession: New Ideas for the Imaginative Quilter

This is the second book in the series and just as good as the first. Although the quilts in this book are more complex than in the first you are given instructions how to make a basic braid and someone with limited sewing experience could make a stunning quilt. The most difficult part is choosing the fabric and my tip is - do this in natural light and follow the author's instuctions and lay a braid out before you start to sew (avoiding distressing 'unsewing'!) As long as you can cut fabric straight and sew a straight line this book will help you to impressive results - the quilts are a lot easier to make than they look. One warning - they do become obsessive - i am now on my third and have fabric lined up for the 4th!
