Four Seasons/Trumark 35143 Blower Motor with Wheel

Replacement in a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. Worked good.

With so many OEM and aftermarket blower motors being made in the far East...I was surprised that this 35143 Four Season blower was made in Canada. Even the OEM AC Delco blower is now made in S. Korea and was not rated as highly as this blower.Overall I was very impressed with the quality of manufacture and design improvements that this blower offered over the original factory blower. First...it has a pigtail for the electrical connection from the resistor that makes it much easier to connect when installing the insulated plastic blower cover. When I tested the new blower under power the fan ran with near zero runout and the fan had been balanced with the attachment of a single small balance weight. The blower has a stamped metal cooling duct that is integral with the housing compared with some of the Chinese alternatives that use a flexible rubber hose. The blower was quiet after installation but the volume of air was at least as much as the original blower if not more. Time will tell if any bearing noise develops later but at this point, I give this blower top marks. The only installation problem was the time spent getting the plastic blower cover installed. It is attached with only two screws but the one forward screw is nearly inaccessible with little to no clearance between the cover, firewall and floor to get the screw started. The rest of the installation was very straightforward. Highly recommended...!

Great price compared to OEM, direct fit twisted into place and stood in place without any additional hardware. Only con would be just like outhee reviewers have said it is indeed noticeable louader due to the motor making a faint plastic bottle behind a bicycle tire sound.

The same tight fit as the OE blower, but with better flow and easer to install. The one I bought from amazon.com did not have the external rubber cooling hose for the blower motor which other replacement blowers have. Instead it had a cooling passageway for the blower motor built into the blower housing same as the OE blower. And, it's made in Canada.
