Instructions are confusing at best. Buttons are called different things. And is it working?
I just opened up the package and noticed the instructions looked like they had been used previously. That kind of made me nervous right up front. But the rest of the packaging and the rest of the items in the box looked fine. I read the instructions and made note of what the buttons were called and where they were on the unit (shown on page 1 of the instructions), but that was an exercise in futility. Neither the "fast start card" nor the instruction booklet (written in 4 languages) used the names of the buttons that they had labeled on the first page of the instructions. So I had to guess what button I was supposed to pressing/holding. I had to juggle back and forth between the booklet and the card to have any chance of figuring out what to do. The very first thing in the "In Use" part of the booklet, said to plug the unit in and the intensity indicator will turn red and flash, which means the circuit is normal. After attaching the power cord and plugging it in, nothing turned red or flashed. So I pressed and held the power switch button as per the next instruction, and the LCD screen did light up. Then, per the instructions, I did press the power button several times and noted that the "gear" indication shown on the LCD screen did indicate it was in higher or lower gears. The instructions also said to press the "Slide and Automatic Flash Mode Button" for 2 seconds to alternate between the Press and Flash Mode and the Automatic Flash Mode. There is no such button shown in the instruction booklet. There is a "Light Button", so I thought perhaps that was what they were talking about. After pressing and holding the "Light Button" for a second or two, some indicated popped up on the LCD screen and it disappeared after I held the same button down for another second or two. But in neither case did a did a flash emit from the head of the unit. Anyway, I pressed and held that button again and I guess it was in the Automatic Flash Mode as the indicator popped back on. I was quite surprised when suddenly a very bright flash of light was emitted from the head of the device as soon as I touched the head of the device to my forearm. After that first flash, when I held it against my skin, it flashed every second or so. Still, I was just guessing as to how to to operate this thing. And furthermore, the instructions didn't say if should just let it flash once and then move the unit to the next space on my (for instance) underarm, or if should it flash several times before moving it, etc. And since I didn't get the red flash when I first plugged it in (which the instructions say is the indication that the circuit is normal), I really can't tell if the device is actually working or not, and I'm not sure of what I need to do to ensure I am operating it correctly. The main instruction booklet has no contact Info on it and neither does the box. The "fast start card" has an email address for warranty and support and that's all the contact information there is. I am not going to bother trying to email them though, because I don't need the hassle. And I'm not sure I trust this thing. I don't mean to be petty, and it wasn't very expensive, but I'm just going to send it back and then purchase a different device that has a website listed that I can go to, and a phone number listed that I can call if I need help.

Optimistic but disappointed
I’ve been thinking about laser hair removal for years but it’s so expensive. After a bit of research found that IPL at home treatments could be a much less expensive long term option! I found a few different ones, purchasable directly through the items companies websites (between $150-250). After searching Amazon, found this one with 7000+ great reviews and a $20 off coupon, so I purchased for $80 total. I can’t accurately express how disappointed I am after purchasing and then reading through more reviews that the seller has altered this listing through a few different items with great reviews. That’s why at this time (01/14/22) that I’m giving the seller 3 stars.I just used the product today for the first time and because the efficacy of the product requires months, I plan to update my review later if I’m more satisfied. It’s been a while since I’ve shaved so I first used my husbands beard trimmer without a guide on it to trim my arms, arm pits, legs, and bikini line. It took me about 15-20 minutes to go over all of these areas with the IPL. The instruction pamphlet wasn’t clear and after plugging in I only saw “off” on the screen. You’ll want to hold the small round button a few seconds until the screen turns on to allow you to change the intensity of the light flashes. The larger oblong button is the actual flash button. I also don’t think the glasses are high quality, so I’ll be purchasing a different pair. I closed my eyes while wearing the glasses and I still saw a significant flash, which can’t be healthy. Two hours after the first session and my skin feels a tiny bit sunburn, but it’s cool to the touch. I used level 3 for this first session. I did a bit of research before the session and decided to shower a half hour after with luke warm water, and then lotioned up! We’ll see how it all turns out

Doesn’t work
Doesn’t work, and I think it may have spurred on my hair growth instead of reducing it.

I love it
I tried different ways to get rid of my hair, especially on my legs, this worked well. I have thick black hair with natural beige skin tone.

Stops working
I bought this and started using it after the new year. On the 3rd time I used it stopped working. The IPL would run and you can click the button but no flash would come out or it would work for 2 flashes and then stop working. What a rip off. Not to mention on the reviews are hacked for another item. BUYER BEWARE!

not strong enough- does not work
I've gotten laser hair removal before so I wanted to try an at-home machine. I wanted to like it, however, it is just not strong enough. I feel like it's best to just go to a salon and get it done.

It burned my skin on minimum degree
I used it on minimum degree and it burned my skin on my chin. I started to use it late now return is not accepted and I stuck with something I can't use.
