0.7 mm thick so measures holes down to about 0.7mm. I very quickly sorted out all my washers and nuts with it after checking calibration to be good in a hole-drill template. Happy with this.

This is made from 2>mm steel, meaning it’s very ridgit and less susceptible to bending and deforming.Good value for money.

I bought this hole gauge recently and I've only used it twice but it was accurate and quick saving much messing about with a ruler.

Used this to measure the gap between doors for draught-proofing.

Just perfect for what I needed it for

I purchased this for measuring hole diameters around 3-4mm. For this purpose it does not work. The problem is the thickness of the metal that the gauge is made from. When inserted into a hole (whose edges are of course circular) the "corners" of the gauge touch the edges of the hole. Now this would be OK if the scale had been specially designed to take this into account (the error gets worse as the hole diameter gets smaller), but it has not been. Therefore the gauge doesn't go into the hole far enough, and consequently reads too small a diameter.It works fine for holes with parallel straight sides (e.g. slots, rectangular holes) or for measuring the width of gaps between two flat surfaces, and is then pretty accurate, but not useful for the purpose that I bought it for.

I am a CWI bought this for checking root gaps. This is accurate and is well built. I’d def buy this one again if I lost mine, which I probably will. It’d be nice if it came with a sleeve though, but that’s not a deal breaker.

I don't measure bored holes very often (other reviewers have commented on the difficulties and the 'fix' for using this tool for that purpose.I use the taper gage on a daily basis to determine whether the fit-up of an assembly is within specified tolerances before it is welded. The tool is perfect for this purpose!The only downside is that, after about a year of use, the black markings have begun to fade. I need to find a reliable way to bring those markings back to their factory-fresh high-contrast condition.

Gradations pretty easy to read. After checking with high quality digital caliper, I think the marked tolerances (+_ 1/64" and .1 mm) are a little overoptimistic, but waddya want for seven bucks?

Excellent gage. Just don’t forget you have it in your laptop bag when you go thru airport security. The X-ray definitely found it. They were not happy.
