They had a small discount ('warehouse deal'). All had 'best by' dates within 6 months. None were expired. As I expected, when cooked, the meals did not quite match the photos on the boxes. The fish was plentiful, mixed throughout the pasta in small bits rather than large chunks. Vegetables were evident, but they did not keep their bright colors. Overall, each meal looked beige...but I was eating them, not instagramming. They get 5 stars from me not only because they are shelf stable (think power outages or the biology experiment of a refrigerator at work), but also because they're real food at a reasonable price. The first one I tried was the sole, & while it smelled OK, it tasted spoiled. One bite & I dumped it. I decided to try the tuna & never even got around to taking a bite. It smelled horrible. I should add that they both had 6 months left before their expiration date.
