Tailgate latch required an extra shove to latch fully on the right side. Turns out the hinges were rusted and starting to blow out. Needed an impact to get the rusty bolts out, but out they did come. New hinge and studs went on smoothly. Tailgate now latches perfectly and properly. Also of note, these parts are clearly significantly thicker gauge steel than the OEMs. Would absolutely buy again.

These hinges fit my 1999 GMC New Sierra without modification. The bolts however, were much too big. I imagine that this might be the case for the earliest years of the Sierra since 1999 was the very first year that it was offered. I expect the hinges to resist rust, and expect the noise to be comparable to the original hinges since the play in the hinges is about the same. I've only owned a vehicle for a few years so I can't speak to how the original hinges fit when new. The original hinges were painted to match the body of the vehicle. I like the look of the new hinges just as much. Replacement was relatively easy. Once I figured out of the new bolts would not work, the install using the original bolts went smoothly. All 4 bolts were 13mm. Helpful hint: Start by disconnecting the tailgate support cables. Then lift the right side of the tailgate up and out of position. The hinge on the right side has a cutout that makes that possible. The left side does not. The left side will be free once the right side is moved out of position.

Fits well, easy install. installed on a 2002 GMC sierra 1500 no issues with the fit. old hinge had a shim on one side, make sure reuse shims if to keep correct thickness.

My factory originals were getting rusty and deformed to the point where the tailgate wasn't working like it should (and eventually broke the release handle). Other than not being color matched like factory (and who really expects that from a replacement part), they're perfect. In fact, I think they're a little beefier than the factory ones and have been holding up great. Installation was pretty straightforward and everything fit like it should with no surprises or tweaks required.

everything fit great. The only problem is they sent bolts way bigger than the original luckily mine were still ok i paid more for new bolts for no reason basically got scammed and they only gave 4 instead of 8 very disappointing if you’re just buying the hinges i say its a good buy

Si estas buscando que tu tapa deje de sonar con las que tienes esta no es una opción ya que quedan muy flojas no se ajustan la tapa queda con demasiado juego incluso mucho mas que el que tenia, creo que pondré de nuevo las antiguas
