Great Cart, If Your A Competent Person!
Not sure why people are having so many issues putting this together. It took me less than 5 minutes to put it together just by looking at the picture. If you're the type of person that has to call the local handy man to replace a lightbulb then this probably isn't for you.. Yes, you have to bend the cotter pins to keep the back wheels on, that's how cotter pins work.. I had zero issues taking a heavy load to the post office with this cart, the wheels are big enough to get you over the cracks and bumps in the sidewalk. I live in Seattle and our sidewalks are like a 3rd world country and I had no issues.

Not worth half the price
After using this cart very lightly (2 to 3 times a month) for about 4 months, I cannot think of anything that liked about it.The construction quality was below average when compared with other similar products. The material used, though appeared to be metal-based, was very fragile. The tiny rods could be bent very easily by a 5-year-old.The assembly was a nightmare because when I received it, they included a front rod from a smaller model of this cart so that didn't fit. Amazon shipped the replacement right-away but it shows that the manufacturer (not Amazon) had no quality controls - resulting in frustration and dissatisfaction from the very start. The instructional manual that was included was totally worthless because it included rough sketches (and not actual pictures) of parts to assemble. The actual instructions were apparently translated using Google Translate from some other language (perhaps Chinese?).The wheels were held by thin pins and I remember thinking that this is definitely not going to last long. The wheels themselves were of very poor quality material that was that appeared like a hybrid between rubber and plastic. You may have noticed that I'm using the past tense when talking about this cart. That's because about a month ago, the wheel lost the pin that was hold it. I don't remember where it was dropped. I could go buy another pin from Home Depot but I am not going to because that's not the only problem that I'm seeing with this cart. I've noticed back rod that joins the two wheels is also bending so the wheels are not long straight. It makes pushing this cart even more difficult now. Oh, talking about wheels, I forgot to mention that one of the biggest disappointments with this cart was finding out that the front wheels cannot turn so the cart can only go straight. To turn you have to really pull the cart toward you so the front two wheels are not touching the ground and then you can maneuver it.In retrospect, I should have returned it for full refund when I found out that the rod didn't fit instead of requesting a replacement.

Great cart but are the fumes safe?
I live on the 4th floor of an apartment and finally got tired of lugging up groceries up the elevator, which is two doors and a hallway away from my car, not so convenient! Plus my boyfriend and I do laundry on the 2nd floor, and it would be nice to wheel the clothes down the elevator vs. 1 or 2 trips by stairs.I found the Trimmer Extra Large Shopping Cart, Red here on Amazon. I opted for the extra large red cart over the large cart because it was only a few dollars more and I didn't want to take a chance of getting it home and it not able to hold a load of groceries, or a few loads of laundry. It arrived in a HUGE box! About 5'H x 3'W x 5"D. I was so excited to open it and try it out. The first thing you'll notice is the smell, eww! What is that?! The wheels are made of some kind of industrial rubber that stinks to high-heaven! It smells toxic like fresh rubber and glue. It filled up my apartment the first couple of days, but over the last week or so it has dissipated some and I only smell it within a few feet of the wheels. My boyfriend wants to get rid of it, but it's been so helpful he's still torn. I'm thinking of rubbing the wheels with some cleaning solutions to clean them.I read the reviews and knew I was going to have to assemble the wheels. After you get off all the sticky tape they use to keep it together (they really need to think about using zip tabs or those things you hold your cords together with). The tape leaves a sticky residue and fingernail polish doesn't get it off. Might have to try some Goo-B-Gone.And the reviews weren't kidding, the instructions are literally translated (badly) from Japanese or Mandarin. The left column is in one language and the right column is in English. And they do not make sense whatsoever, i.e. "Take Mandrel 1 to add two wheels both to ends." That means add the wheels to both ends of the bar. You get a diagram photo, so that helps the most. Don't get discouraged like I did. Take your time and everything will make sense. You won't need any tools really, you're just layering washers then springs then more washers then the wheel then more washers then locking them in place with pins. It's just locking them into place while working with the springs that can get frustrating, and a little comical. At one time I was about the fasten the last big wheel, the spring popped out of my hand and all of the wheels and washers came flying off! Once you get them fastened, the wheels hold on just fine. Now get rolling! Word to the wise, don't forget the clasp lock that comes attached to the cart. It's a little black plastic clasp that holds the cart closed. My BF didn't notice it and he broke it on day 1 trying to open the cart. He's a self-proclaimed neanderthal anyways, never gentle on anything, grabs then thinks, so I was expecting it. So just be careful. And I also learned it's a lot easier to turn the cart if you wheel it on the back wheels instead of all four wheels, so keep that in mind when you're on the go.Overall, this is a great cart, it wheels along very nicely, not too heavy, but sturdy. I took off two stars for the awful smell and confusing instructions. But that may not bother you, so go for it!

hot rod cart
What's really nice about this jumbo sized cart is the use of double strands of metal rod in the front and sides. This doubles the capacity and doubles the durability of the side walls. This cart also uses a cap to protect the cotter key retainer, which will double the life of the cotter key. This is important because the rolling wheel will gather dust and grit that will in effect abrade away the cotter key until it snaps, whilst the protective cap offers a buffer twixt the key and the wheel. Well designed product that when hefted will tell you that there's a lot to it as well; it's twice as heavy as smaller carts.
