IBLSingle Gang Wall Plate with Brush Bristles (Black)

I bought a couple of these for my new house, the builder just put blank plates over the raceways. These work just fine, but I would have been much happier while installing one of them if it was only one piece. The hole cut in the drywall was larger than the actual pass through portion (think a switch or outlet, same idea/size for the back piece) and the piece didn't sit in place on the drywall. It just took longer to install and caused a few choice words.I had to cut the second one to fit around my TV mount, so this being two pieces actually made that end a lot easier.These are pretty easy to install, especially if you already have a box behind the drywall. I put a couple of these in another house and just used drywall inserts, worked just fine also. Great item to help hide all your cables.Once installed, these work great. Plenty of space for multiple cables. I have one each of coax, HDMI and optical cable (sound) plus a four conductor 22AWG cable for the sound bar. I could probably more than twice that.

Can't find black in the box stores. Item as expected.

In retrospect, I'd go for another design. The brushes are a bit annoying to keep in place, especially when adding additional components.

Normal wall plates, I used different screw: wood screws and painted the screw heads. Worked perfect on my new mantle. Would buy them again if needed.

I like these better than the kind with the plastic flap as the bristles close the hole up better. Will buy again.
