They may seem a bit more pricey, but the steel used is such a nice quality- worth every penny! I cook at home a lot-& it makes chopping & dicing a lot quicker when you have the right tools. I even splurged & bought (when they were on an desertcart deal) the 4 steak knives that the block has room for, but did not come w/ this set.
