Il materiale è un po' morbido e (giustamente) deformabile per cui una volta piazzato il rialzo la dimensione totale effettiva è leggermente inferiore a quanto si rileva tenendo il rialzo tra le mani. Esempio: sovrapponendo tutti gli strati - 4 - dovrei ottenere un rialzo di 2.54 cm che corrispondono a un pollice nella misurazione inglese proposta dal venditore mentre in realtà "indossandolo" risulta di circa 2 cm.
