It must just be me....
Chinese quality control performs on the "near enough" basis. This is an awful kit. Pieces don't align, accurately, glue is essential (don't believe the claim on the box). I get the thrill of making a model but for 2/3 the price I can buy a better quality finished article with remote control.

Some parts didn't fit together, making it impossible to put together, as if I received parts for a different R8 maybe.
