I ended up buying 2 of these in order to store all of my embroidery thread. They work very well and I have had no problems with the organizers. The plastic bobbins that come with them work fine. The only thing that I don't like about the bobbins is that there are manufacturing imperfections on the ends of the bobbins that make it hard to mark or label the bobbins. There is a little bump that is hard to write around or if using a label, it makes it distorts the label a little bit and can make it hard to read if a number is right on the bump. I included a photo of a bobbin, the bump is right above the "0" in the number 301. These organizers come with a set of labels for marking the bobbins. These are so handy and easy to use! One of the sheets of labels was misprinted and the printing ended up at the edges of the labels so that the numbers were cut off and couldn't be used. I contacted the seller and they were able to send me a new sheet of labels at no cost. The new ones were perfect and I was able to finish labeling my bobbins. Now I'm happy that all of my thread is organized and it's easy to find the color I need.

This is quite the nicest embroidery floss storage box and I have tried different types. Good closure, sturdy PAPER floss winders and made in USA. Two big thumbs up!

This is a great starter box for a new cross stitcher with plenty of room for growth. Love the numbered stickers.

I am very new to embroidery. I love to organize and saw this box (or something similar) on a YouTube tutorial and knew I had to get it. The box itself is sturdy and compact. I wish the compartments were movable/resizable. I can fit some miscellaneous things in the larger spot but my little scissors are too big, for example. The stickers are very useful but I don’t only use dmc brand, so I have to get a fine tip permanent marker to write the rest. There are extra stickers for that purpose, or you can write on the bobbin itself. I also don’t know how recent the numbers are (I know dmc releases new floss colors often) and I am missing quite a lot of numbers. Some reviews mention that there is a little circle/bump where the stickers go so it’s not flush and flat for the stickers nor for writing. This is true. However when you flip it over to the other side, it is flush and flat for writing/stickers.The bobbins themselves are not very sturdy but they do the job. I’m not sure how sturdy they are with other manufacturers.All in all a great purchase

Looks great all lined up. Took me the better part of a day to wind all of my bobbins, but now that it's done, it's a really great tool. I bought some extra bobbins for the floss from a different seller and I don't like them as much as the ones that came with the box itself. It's a little rough around the edges--there is a little bit of plastic extruded and cut wrong on the lid--but for the price, it's a fantastic value. If my floss collection expands, I'll be buying one of these again.

The bobbins are great. I haven't tried the stickers yet but, you know, they're stickers. It's DMC brand so I assume well made and will stick to the plastic bobbins. The case is decent, not heavy duty but does the job and if I'm not tossing it around it'll be fine. I'm able to fight about 6 bobbins per compartment, so I can fit 96 bobbins in here unless I also use the little tool compartment, then I can fit about 108-109? The bobbins fit in both up/down and sideways. So you can store them to see the sticker number or the color.

Very happy with this set. The bobbins are a sturdy hard plastic. The stickers seem very sticky (when put on the smooth side of the plastic.) I am paranoid so I also used an ultra fine point Sharpie to write the numbers on the rougher side. I love that the dividers are fixed and don’t move. I can fit 6 or 7 full bobbins in each compartment, so if I eventually get more than about 120 colors I will buy more of these containers. I didn’t use a winder, but it did not take long to wind by hand. I love working with the floss from the bobbins, so much faster and easier than using little baggies like I was before. The lid of the box also fastens very securely, so I can store it on its side without worry.

I have used these boxes and spools to store DMC floss for a very long time. I just purchased six more. The best thing about this system is that it saves floss by keeping it identifiable thus making projects much less costly. Loose floss can lose number tags, tangle, or become impossibe to locate in piles of unused thread. With this system I know exactly how much floss I have on hand and the precise color number so I know if and how much I need for new projects. One longer compartment holds needle packets and small sewing scissors. I use a combination of plastic and cardboard spools and they mix well together in the boxes. I cannot imagine being an avid cross stitcher and not having this type os organization system. Whoever created these had a fantastic idea.

Love everything about this product, and am using it to store embroidery floss. Included bobbins are fine (decent quality). Compartments are fixed (can't change size), but that isn't an issue for me. Shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. Would recommend.

The variety of colours. I was also impressed how quicly I received the goods. Thank you.

Great boxes, stickers stick well. My only issue is there is no sticker for 3766, it's 6766.
