OtterBox iPhone 13 Pro (ONLY) Symmetry Series Case Clear

All in all, I like the case and it's done a good job of protecting my phone which is what I want. However, I do wish the inner lining and fit of the case were more durable when taking the case off and on. I wish the outer hard case had not cracked, but to be fair, I have dropped this many times and it's withstood quite a few fumbles. Important to note: I use a tempered glass screen protector as well as a camera protector on the back camera when using this case. Therefore, I cannot speak to how the case would do without these added protections. In conjunction with these other measures, the case has done a pretty decent job of protecting the phone. Many times the screen and camera protectors have cracked, and I've replaced them, but the phone has emerged undamaged. Complaints: 1) After being dropped, the corners got a little jagged and the corner of the hard case broke off. However, despite the case itself cracking, my phone was fine. 2) After taking the case off and on a few times, I think it could be a bit more sturdy. The inner soft lining of the case stretched out and warped so that it hangs out away from the case and doesn't fit properly. Not sure how that makes sense to be called military grade? Anyway, I feel I need to replace it now because I don't know how well it would protect my phone when the fit is now sub-par.

I bought this phone cover for my iPhone 2013 Pro back in February 2022. I've dropped my phone several times and it's done it's job - no cracks. Compared to the prices of other phone cases, I don't think you can beat this. The only thing I'd say is expect to replace it after a year (at least). I've had mine for 18 months, but probably should have replaced it at 12 months. I carry my phone in my front pocket. After a few months, the rubbery parts to started to yellow. Not a huge deal, but it's worth mentioning. It also got looser at the bottom and the clear part started flaking off (not sure what caused it, but it gives it a really scratched up look). It looked bad enough that my kids starting to make comments about it, forcing me to seek a replacement! I've uploaded a picture, but remember - this is after 18 months of use. After looking at other options, I'm back and reordering this cover again. For the price, I don't think it can be beat.

Otterbox Symmetry clear has been my go-to case for the last several phones I've had. It has a great grip, snug fit, and has protected my phone. It allows you to see the color of your phone, does not collect lint in your pocket, and generally takes months of wear before the sides start to turn dingy or start to yellow. My hands are generally always clean and I am careful with my phone, and have kept these cases looking new for a long time. You can definitely feel the difference in quality when compared to Spigen clear, or other random clear brands. This case is solid and sturdy and doesn't have the cheap "bendy" plastic feel like others have. Also, the texture of this case is completely different (far more pleasant) from the symmetry color cases. I hope Otterbox never changes the symmetry clear cases!

I’ve had this case just over a year in the color “Stardust” (clear w/glitter). I wanted the protection offered by Otter in a slimmer package appropriate for women’s pants-sized pockets and wristlet purses and this case delivered on both. Cosmetic-wise the back is still decently glittery, only dulled by the many battle scars (i.e scratches) showing evidence of its frequent protective use through normal wear, my own clumsiness, and the hands of my busy toddler. The front is both stretched and yellowed. The yellowing has been there for some time, but it has only just recently stretched to the point that it keeps popping off and I am now opting to replace it. My only “issue” with it was that it seems to be very particular with the wireless charger in the house and would only charge if positioned “just so” while in the case. I got this case on sale for around $25 originally, and have opted to upgrade to the same model with the MagSafe back for a little more than the replacement cost for this one. All in all I found it to be a decent, inexpensive case and I will be a repeat buyer of the Otter Symmetry.

I keep my phone in my front pocket and I like this case because it adds very little bulk to the phone. There’s a raised rubberized edge that helps protect the edges of the screen as well as a lip around the camera lenses for similar protection. I’ve dropped my phone plenty of times and have suffered no damage thanks to this case. I appreciate the one-piece design so it’s less likely to come apart and overall am happy with the purchase. I will say that I placed a Tech-Armor glass screen protector on my phone too as this case doesn’t provide protection outside the screen edge. I do have concerns about the camera lenses at the same level as the case’s protective lip but in over a year of using the case nothing bad has happened. I should say this is my second case as my first one had the rubber edge around the edge by the buttons start to separate from the plastic base of the case after a little over a year of use but then again, I’m pretty tough on my cases so I wasn’t disappointed when that happened.

I love otter box products. This is the second time I have ordered this exact phone protector. I am super rough on my phones and seem to drop them frequently. The otter box covers keep my phone from shattering or otherwise get damaged.

Rugged and keeps phone screen safe. Purchased a cheaper one first and dropped my phone only three feet and the screen broke. I should have purchased this one first. Always used OtterBox in the past and happy with it, don't know why I thought a cheaper one would work.

I really loved this case when I first got it, but it just has not held up well at all. The hard plastic has stayed clear, but the rubbery bumper around the edge was noticeably yellow after only a month of using it. I’ve attached pics of how yellow the edges are now after 4 months of use - this is after trying to wash the case multiple times and still no luck getting the yellowing out. I drop my phone very infrequently, but the case already has a few small hairline cracks from the drops, which isn’t promising for its longer term durability. The rubber bumper has also already deformed in a couple places and sticks out a few millimeters from the edge of my screen in a couple places like around the volume buttons and charging port. I’ve only taken the case off ~5 times in the time I’ve had it, so it’s disappointing that the bumper has deformed that easily with such little manipulation. I do like that there’s a raised bumper around the screen and camera, but wish this came with screen and/or camera protectors to use for extra protection. It has kept my phone in pristine condition, but again, I drop my phone very infrequently, so I don’t think this would provide enough protection for frequent/rougher drops. Overall, I’m super disappointed in how gross the color has gotten in only a few months, and I don’t think it’s worth the money. I bought an Otterbox thinking the quality would be better than generic clear cases on Amazon, but it seems to be about the same quality for 3x the price of comparable cases. Save your money and get one of those instead. UDPATE: I’ve changed my review to 1 star because this is the worst phone case I’ve ever used. After only 8 months of use and only taking the case on/off a couple times to clean it, the rubber has stretched out, creating big gaps around the volume buttons and charging port. It’s gotten so loose that my phone is actually sliding out of the case now. I’ve used Otterbox cases for over a decade and have always loved them but this product was a huge disappointment. Absolutely don’t waste your money

Needed something sturdy,sleek and basic. This has seemed to meet all my requirements, it’s basic, functional, easy to hold and grip and it isn’t chunky or bulky. Overall it’s one of those items where it’s not flashy or anything but just serves and does the job. Solid product overall
