How far from the top hook is the first cross bar? My door has a coat hook that comes 5 inches down so wondering if it would fit without taking it off

Yes about 6 inches but the shelves are actually some sort of cloth being pulled by the bars and very wobbly. The hook would have to rip thru that cloth and whatever you hang will get in the way. The worst thing is that the top bar is too thick and the door of my closet would not close unless I was willing to sand down the top of the door frame, not a good idea. Whatever you do if you get it, put it together fast so you'll have time to return it.

Lost the rubber end cap/tube inserts that keeps the rack from sliding off the bracket & scratching the door, does anyone know the size or where to buy

Not quite as good as I'd hoped...

Overall my initial impression is that it's ok and it has capacity for quite a number of pairs of shoes. It's easy enough to assemble if a little fiddly. My main gripe would be be that the shelves are a little shallow for lager shoe sizes (see photo) and the metal is incredibly soft, we'll see how durable it is. Added another star as my wife likes it, you never can tell!

Robust construction

A more robust construction than the shoe rack it replaced. Beware of overtightening the bolts that will distort the steel tubes. Fitting 3 pairs of adult male shoes in a row is a bit of a squeeze, but otherwise the organizer does the job nicely.
