Hi, no need to connect internet, It can be used as long as the battery is installed. It is very simple to use

The volume is simply too low and cannot be increased. Unless completely unobstructed, it cannot be heard except very faintly.

They will not fit in a phone case. They are about 1/4 inch thick. You would have have something for a key chain ring to hook to. Our purpose for buying was to find lost keys and they work great for that.
