Ā£100? Nevermindā¦. Its worth it ;)
At first when i preordered this boxset i was hesitant because i thought it would just be a cd digipak with 5 discs, But upon arriving Its a nice big boxset with a nice big hard back book with some cool photos of the band. The album remaster is a much welcome change from the crappy 20th anniversary remaster which butchered the dynamics and crushed the tracks in general. The bass has been increased a little and now everything sounds even more punchy without crushing the dynamics of the track, Thank you for that now just get rid of that horrid 20th anniversary āremasterā from streaming sites, Noone deserves to have their ears destroyed by that horrible piece of crap. The bonus cdās are a welcome addition, whilst all have been in circulation in the bootleg community for years its nice to have the official releases. The Bonus bluray Live in Amsterdam 1991 has also made the rounds in the bootleg circuit and on many different official nirvana releases but in short clip form (Live Tonight! Sold out) but they have cleaned up the video and audio and its definately the best way to watch this rather odd concert. I say Odd because several times Kurtās guitar goes out of tune and during āCome as you areā even he gets fed up and just phones it in, Screaming the lyrics whilst playing an out of tune guitar, Its Nirvana in all its Glory. The master as i stated before has been cleaned up but a fair amount of DNR has been applied also, Kurtās face often looks too smooth/waxy and the edges of Daveās drums sometimes look distorted from the smoothing. Saying that, It is still the best way to watch this live show.Overall im really happy with this release, a decent remaster for one of the best albums of all time along with a bunch of bonus discs for your hearing and visual pleasure accompanied by a slick look hardbook back.Overall 8/10ā¦. Pure NIRVANA!!

Questionable
I have heard from other sources on social media this release is not taken from the analog master but is a digital source.I would check before you buyš

Was expecting something
I donāt know, these promised remasters rarely sound any different to the original. For me the original sounded raw and edgy with huge power. I think I expected this to give a little more detail into the recordings but it didnāt (just my impression)

Forgot how good this album was
I bought this album on cassette when it first came out over 30 years ago and played it a lot even though I was more death metal than grunge but I have to say its still holds up to this day,we all know the hits but it's still great to sit down and play it all the way through, great live 2nd cd in this set I wholly recommend it as it really does stand the test of time like all great albums do

Over priced but the live shows are good
The 20th Anniversary set with the b-sides was better. If you've not got the included live shows from bootlegs already then this is worth picking up if you can find it at a decent price.
W**!
Not what it seems
Just played this against my original copy from 1991 and bears no comparison. Whoever mastered this wants shooting. It sounds flat and lacks the dynamics of my original vinyl copy, UNIVERSAL reissue team hang your heads in shame.

No digital download
Great sounding vinyl, shame there's no digital download code included like you get with most new vinyl purchases.
