The next was a cast iron, similar to this one and it lasted years but it slowly developed a crack which lasted over a year. This one is really awesome but it's heavy in weight so keep that in mind.

My stone cracked over time and finally broke. I decided to buy the cast iron alternative and this one fits perfectly. It is very heavy compared to the stone but not as fragile. Should last longer than the egg itself.
