The spark is constant so it's always on as long as you are holding the "on" switch. It's not just one spark and gone and you have to press the button again. So you can have the propane volume set low for safety and it's gonna light up nice and gentle. It's a high tech stick, complete with cool lighting indicators. The rechargeable feature means I'm not throwing this thing away - I'm recharging it right in the kitchen with the USB wall outlets. Price is something I had to double take.
