i received this charger 1/21/2025,and in cleveland,ohio,it was 4 degrees out so i had to take it out of the box,and wait,until the batteries,and charger got to room temperature,before i started to charge the batteries,it really didn`t take that long for the batteries to charge,about 45 minutes or so,her is the thing,in my opinion,never charge any batteries when they are cold,also when you first get batteries,never try them out on any power toll,until you fully charge the batteries,i did that some years ago,and the battery would not hold a charge,so maybe now it is different,maybe it will not hurt the battery,because of a built in protection chip.

Essential battery pack unit
The double battery pack is essential for any shop using the Milwaukee units that use the smaller batteries, so the work keep moving, no one wants to wait for a battery to charge to complete the work at hand. Its a quick charge unit and works great with the planer I purchased.

Good batteries, bad clips.
These batteries are great at having the power and sustainability for daily usage. Being a mechanic I use them in my 3/8 drive ratchet and they perform just like the ones sold w the ratchet. However as soon as the batteries were snapped into my ratchet the clips that hold them in broke and they can easily slip out when working on a car from below or pretty much any time you tighten a bolt or nut. Not to distracting but when in a hurry and your going from pace to place having to push the battery back into the ratchet does get annoying after a bit. The power is there and they last quite a long time. Just be aware the retaining clips will break and you will wonder why the tool isn't working its because the battery has slipped out of contact.
