Zydeco Shoes: A Sensory Tour of Cajun Culture

We saw this book and CD in a B&B in New Orleans. It added so much to our visit to be able to "keep the party going" in the room by playing the music and reading about the food and art of the Cajun people. Any one who has a soft spot for New Orleans, Zydeco, and Earl Hebert's art and the Cajun Culture should own this set. It brings me back to my new found love, New Orleans every time I open it.

This table top book is beautifully printed to reflect the wonderful use of color by Earl Hebert. The vibrant colors and the development of shadows separate Mr. Hebert's art from other cajun artists.The content of the paintings; the text; and the wonderful recipes make this book truly, "a sensory tour of cajun culture."
