I purchased this unit for the device charger for the kids iPad's when we are at restaurants. The camera was an added bonus. Out of the box I was surprised of the build quality. The device is encased in metal and comes with everything you need, but a card reader. At first all the buttons are intimidating, but a quick glace at the instructions I was up and running. The Charging bank is on one end and the camera is on the other.The charging bank work as expected. I was able to charge or power two devices at once which made me happy to enjoy dinner out while the kids were glued to technology.On the camera side all the buttons were intimidating at first but when it comes down to it all you need is the power button. I set the device to motion sensor and was surprised at the response. The device caught the slightest movement. In the attached picture the camera turned on when there was movement just outside of the cameras view, anticipating the object passing in from of the camera. I plugged the device in my computer and was able to easily view the videos with two clicks. I used a 32 GB mini SD card which I picked up for $5. There are three covers to conceal the camera controls which I thought was cool.I'll probably use this at home to watch the kids in the play room to see who starts fights. I am sure there will be other instances that come up over the years to use the camera feature. I am glad I spent a few dollars more for a nice device charger to get the camera feature.

Spy camera not working as described. Motion sensor recording is continuous, making 5 minute files one right after another. Switches in and out of night vision mode as it records. Does not charge phone. Could not charge the camera device with supplied cord.

Great camera. I use it to supplement my dashcam. I leave it running when the car is turned off. I have mine on Motion detection.TIP: video playback is smooth when the SD is taken out from the camera.Pros: Lasts a long time on a single charge.Cons: 1. The price is a bit high. I bought mine on sale, and I'll definitely buy another one when the price drops again. 2. There can be a pick tint sometimes depending on the conditions. 3. Struggles in direct sunlight.

Somewhere between 2.5 to 3 stars. Unit works as advertised. Image is OK given good lighting. Mine had sound as well, an unexpected bonus. I wanted a simple camera with motion detection & night vision to watch our pets, but didn't want or need the added hassles of WiFi, and the security issues that go along with that. Running time is very good, owing to the large battery. My computer recognizes it, and I can watch the videos. Motion detection mode seems fine, avoiding many unwanted hours of wasted recording.Main gripe is, some of the connectors are glitchy. I can charge with the Apple Lightning connector sometimes, but not always. And the micro USB used for computer connection likes to disconnect on its own. This seems to be a thing with the very low cost gadgets... I tried a couple that were even cheaper and the connectors on those cams were complete trash, esp. the SD card socket. So, this one is better than those, and is useful, but if the glitches get worse it too will get sent back.

For some reason it records back and forth between regular and night vision in a well-lit room. The daytime camera video looks great, night vision not so much but the flipping back and forth is annoying and depending on the lighting you can get a weird tint to everything. Also no audio and no reply to email address included in the manual. Will decide whether to keep or not this weekend, disappointing.
