I got a little manual crumb sweeper thing and it picked up the litter great but not the hair.I've been using this for about two weeks, and it does a great job of picking things up, and is also relatively easy to clean. Pretty nice design. Cat hair does get into the impeller but it pulls right out. The interlocking mechanisms for the top and bottom part seem well designed.Last thing I want to mention is that it is relatively quiet. I originally also looked at "Dirt Devil" like devices but they are VERY loud and would have scared the cats.
