This looks to be a well made hook. I originally thought this should last a long time. My plan was to use this as a nose hook to aid in winding my boat onto the trailer and securing it to the trailer during transporting. But, looks can be deceiving. The 2nd time I used it the "keeper" pops past the hook so it doesn't work properly.

First impressions of the hook: 1. Casting quality if pretty high and there are little to no burrs on parting lines etc. 2. The spring loaded safety gate has nice tension and a quick snap back. 3. The large eye is a nice feature allowing one to easily thread line or webbing through it. We will see how it hold up long term in regards to the material components and if they truly all are stainless. This is being used in a marine environment and any faults should become evident quickly. If so this review will be updated accordingly.

These are great marine grade hooks. I used these for two different types of anchors and they work extremely well. Hook right in to the boats u hooks on the corners and bow of the boat. Great build quality
