Wok scrubber
Crafted excellently and consistently does the work of cleaning my wok.

Lasted much longer than expected
I ordered one of these 2-1/2 years ago, have used it once a week on average, and am just now ordering a replacement. It has far exceeded my expectations. We use it to clean our wok, and occasionally a cast iron griddle. It lost a few bristles in its first month and has lost a few more since, but we kept using it and it kept getting the job done. This whisk is very basic and some might associate that with low quality but it performs very well.

TOO HARD TO WORK
I eliminate as much plastic as I can from my kitchen.. One of the surprise benefits is that I found that a natural scrubber works much better than the green scrubbys (if you dont try to polish it clean).. Unfortunately, the only thing I have found in 3 years that works, is the smaller of the two (in the picture I added to the main pictures on the product page).. The ones they are selling here are too hard and woody to work.. Maybe if you have a very large completely circular wok it may be functional (I dont know).. Giving it 1 star because it is non functional, as far as I can tell.. If someone has found a way to use these, please leave a comment (perhaps I am doing it wrong). HOW I USE IT: I use it on seasoned iron pans, and enameled cast iron.. While the pan is still very hot (but not scorching hot), I add a small amount of water and scrub (not enough water to warp the pan).. This is the fastest way to clean these pans; if simply frying something in the iron pan, its clean in a few seconds. It also works with the gunk left from braising in the enameled pan.. And they are long enough to help keep me from burning my hands on the steam (but you still can burn yourself if not careful here).. I tried to modify the ones on this page by cutting them at an angle. The smaller one that I use is loosely wrapped, so the scrubbing bristles spread out where you need them.. But the one they are selling here is too hard and woody.. I SUGGEST YOU DO NOT TRY TO CUT YOURS AS I DID.. I cut two and decided its not worth the risk.. Maybe later I will find another way.. I am very skilled at using saws and such, but it is dangerous to cut these on a power saw... I used a 12" mitre saw with a very sharp blade (on oak it leaves a finish that looks almost sanded.. with these scrubbers it kicks back and rips unevenly)..

It was 12 inch
It arrived at 12 inch, I did what another reviewer said, I removed the first 4 inches of the whisk with a power miter saw, If you do this Be Very Careful as the Bamboo will shatter throwing it in all directions! Now it is 8 inch and much better to use in my wok, And for those reviewers who say bamboo pieces come up through top of handle and prick your hand, I put a layer of clear Silicone glue on top, No more loose bamboo coming up.( as this is a handmade type product) This will work well now for my wok, Very nice wok scrub, Just needed a little modified to make it Real Nice. Always wet it before using, to expand the fibers for a better clean, and boil some water in your wok for a good cleaning scrub. I am happy with it now, I love wok cooking and hope this helps someone, Thanks

It’s really a beautiful thing
So I was a bit shocked when I got it. It’s a lot bigger than I was expecting because I guess I didn’t even read that part of the description, or maybe it’s the girth of it and i was a bit worried about having to put my hand around it, because I’m 63 and my hands are starting to hurt and I’m not used to something that size in my hand. But I have used it to not only wash out my wok but I also wash my cast iron pans with it and I will try it out on the nonstick pans as well. I think it works faster than the really ugly plastic scrub brush I got for a dollar. I have only used it a few times since I haven’t even had it a week yet but when I was scrubbing my pans I was giving it some elbow grease and I was very pleased and I just rinse it and stand it upright which is where all that girth comes in handy and it dries nice.

The item I received is not pictured.
Item different than pictured. Came with a handle which broke off after a month or so. Does work very well (super easy and efficient) to clean woks and cast iron pans. Needs to be redesigned. I purchased a bamboo cleaning brush for cleaning my woks and cast iron pans. I made my purchase back at the end of Dec 2023. The cleaning brush currently pictured (the photo showing as I sit here and make this review) shows the 'handle' as simply being wrapped around the end of the bamboo - like they just wrapped off the end that goes into your hand. Which I imagine is quite an improvement to what I actually received. I can't remember for sure what photo was showing when i made my purchase, but I do remember reading in reviews about these breaking off from their handles, and I thought i was very careful to avoid purchasing one with a handle that would break off like that. Well, I received one that was attached to a long wooden handle with a metal ring. AND, after a little while, the handle completely sheared off from the split bamboo brush. Just broke straight off. I ended up using some cotton yarn and tied them off in a bundle, so I've still been using it because it works so well to clean my pans. I can only recommend if you would actually receive the one with the wrapping on the palm-end of the brush. NO long wooden handle recommended bc that handle suuuuxxxssss.

Best scrubber for cast iron and carbon steel cookware
This is the best scrubber ever for all your cast iron and carbon steel cookware. I initially got a smaller one in Chinatown San Francisco on a whim and it changed my dishwashing life. Since you’re not suppose to use dish soap on cast iron or carbon steel, a sponge or even one of those plastic disc thingy doesn’t work in cleaning. This bamboo scrubber will do the trick. Unfortunately, I moved and tossed out the old one and bought this one. This scrubber is larger than expected and the sellers are wonderful. I wasn’t aware it was coming directly from China (haven’t had good experience with that in the past) so I was a little peeved when this hadn’t arrived in almost 2mo of waiting. I contacted the sellers and they immediately apologized and refunded my money to only have the product arrive two days later. I contacted the sellers to pay for it but they didn’t take the payment. Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Great customer care. It’s super easy to use even on super hot pans. Just rinse off if there’s any food debri and stand up right to dry. I’m never throwing this one away. Will buy another one as a backup just in case.

Huge, but effective!
I like it. I already knew that this wok cleaning whisk was huge, even before purchasing it. As noted by other reviewers, it has a total length of 12 inches (30.5 cm). The description shows a length of 7 inches, but the bristles actually extend 8.5 inches beyond the wrapped handle section (which is 3.5 inches long). This wok whisk has an appealing rustic appearance, and it cleans my wok very effectively. After using it, I flick out the water from it, and stand it up, with the handle upward, to dry.
