Better Not Younger Shampoo for Thinning Hair with Volumizing Formula, 8.4oz

My skin seems to be allergic to rosemary (which this product does NOT have, unlike many other similar volumizing shampoos). So, when I've used other products targeting those of us with fine hair which do contain rosemary, my hair falls out in handfuls while and after shampooing-- not was I hoping for! This product is great-- no more wads and wads of hair in the drain while shampooing, has a lovely floral but not overpowering scent, cleans well, leaves hair silky with good lift and volume (I use a good quality conditioner too, but before applying conditioner, and after shampooing with this shampoo, hair already feels silky and clean). It's not cheap in price, but it's worth the price IMO and a little of it goes a fairly long way.

I rarely give reviews but OMG I love what this shampoo & conditioner did to my hair after just one wash. I will definitely buy it again and again. Day and a half later my hair still looks and feels amazingly soft and lifted. Worth the money

Update: I tried the BNY conditioner and both together do a much better job, enough that when I air-dried my hair, it looked much better than when I used a different brand of conditioner. --------------- I am optimistic about this Better Not Younger shampoo for thin fine hair. I have tried soooooo many shampoos for my super baby fine thinner hair and some initially seem as if they are going to work and then end up drying out my hair or making it so tangled I can't get a brush through it -- fine-haired people know how tangled hair can get even if you are gentle while shampooing! What I like so far about this shampoo is: --the consistency is 'watery' but it takes very little to lather up - I was surprised at how little I had to use --it doesn't have an overwhelming scent, though I don't smell much of anything --my hair looks 'fluffy' - I air dried it two of the times and my hair had a fluffy look; I blew it dry yesterday and it did very well. Both ways gave me some volume and didn't seem to strip my hair of moisture. --in the shower my hair has that 'squeaky clean' feel but surprisingly it's also very silky so when I carefully towel-dry and then use my Wet-Brush; my brush glides through without tangles, or very few as my super baby fine hair always has at least a tangle or two -the price isn't too bad - I've used shampoos that cost more and shampoos that are cheaper - I don't mind paying a little more if it works! $29 (at time of this review) for 8.4 ounces is fine with me, especially since for my collar-bone length baby fine thinner hair about a nickel-sized or so amount gives me plenty of lather! The headquarters is in Florida -the recyclable plastic container indicates it's made in USA, which I appreciate. Leaping Bunny certified. Sulfates don't bother me, overall, but this is sulfate-free-- I am on the fence about whether sulfate-free shampoos weigh hair down over time or are better for my baby fine hair. If these results keep up, then I will reorder.

I started using this shampoo because other quality shampoos left my hair dry as I got older. I’ve used BNY for years now.

Great shampoo, but was delivered smashed and a big mess.

This shampoo was not for me! My hair came out rough and tangled! Maybe it’s not for the southeast Asian hair type! My hair is dark, long and thick! It did clean well but I had to take three pumps of the shampoo for good lather. Fragrance was okay not strong! It wasn’t effective for my hair!

It's a pleasant very light scent that dissipates quickly. Doesn't irritate my skin as others have, gives good volume and much better conditioning. It's pricier but you get a much better product than other cheaper brands. I'm completely natural gray and it helps with the occasional frizziness. Highly recommend if you're older and looking for a better volume shampoo and conditioner. I advise to rinse well after the shampoo and the conditioner for best results. If I don't rinse shampoo enough (with any shampoo) I don't get the best results and you do need to rinse the conditioner out well in order to keep it fresh longer and not limp. Very good products. Only wish they weren't expensive but you do get what you pay for in this case. Definitely worth it in my opinion.

This is not the first time I am getting this shampoo - none of the Dispensers have worked on this product. The first time I got it on HSN - had to pour into another dispenser as the pump did not work at all. The second time - bought on Amazon - The product was VERY WATTERED DOWN, literally much watery and runny than the HSN counterpart, and again the pump never worked. I like the shampoo - in its UN-watered down consistency, but the frustration of having to always move to another container that can dispense the product is too much. Had to cancel my subscribe and save for this reason. Will look for a frustration-free shampoo.

These products are phenomenal. Sadly the shampoo’s price has increased so much that I had to choose a different option from the same brand.

It does what it says

This is very good shampoo however; the product arrived damaged with shampoo having spilled out all over the packaging. Very disappointing for the price of the product to have half of it spoiled.
