CKS375 Wood Lathe Chucks, 3.75" 4-Jaw Self-Centering Scroll Chuck with 1" x 8TPI Thread Woodworking Turning Tools Set Include(3.75 Gear Chuck,5 Interchangeable Jaws, 1 Wood Screw)

great quality, prompt delivery only the case was damaged even as it was very well packed and package not damaged but not bothered about it as its a tool.

I bought this to make my wood lathe more versatile and didn't want to spend a ton of money on it. I did strip out a screw but no issues to the jaws or chuck itself. This really opened up options for me and works really well. I used all of the jaws and the screw and have no issues with any of them. Total game changer accessory. Its fitted to a harbor freight bench top lathe when it's being used so you can really see where the expense nova type products just dont make sence for me. It's a nice entry to very lite production accessory maybe more? Time will tell, I have been on the lathe alot lately and will really put it through its paces.

So this chuck...for a beginner, or someone on a budget, this is an excellent buy. It's beefy, haven't had any problems with changing jaws, comes with extra screws in case you drop them and lose them like I do, and I use it damn near every day. Issues with it are: you have to really crank down on the jaws to make sure they don't come open, as well as the screws that hold the jaws on. They will work themselves out in time if you don't. Also, there's just a looseness about the whole thing. Whereas tools that are better made have less tolerance allowed when being machined in the manufacturing process, this chuck was allowed more tolerance. It just doesn't feel "tight". I will continue using it in the meantime, buy look forward to the day when I can afford a nice, top of the line chuck.

I have this thing for a while like anything like that just keep it oiled and greased and you're good to go

I love the shine from the clean new metal...lot of useful tools for beginners fast shipping too

For the money I pay for this item you would think and the way they packed it you have to ask how did this happen

I really like my new chuck, and all the neat features that came with it. It’s help reducing labor time when making my pens, as I can do everything at my lathe. Very pleased with this product so far.

Seems very nicely made. The different jaws should be able to hold anything. Only used once so far and I really like it. Wish I had one sooner. Like another reviewer the case on mine was broken in one spot. The box showed no damage, but the case was broken where the chuck itself had smashed against the side in shipping. Perhaps a denser foam would help . I don't plan to return it just because of that but the manufacturer may want to take some additional precautions. 4 stars just because of the broken case, otherwise a very nice product.
