Rust-Oleum 63181 WATCO Clear Wood Lacquer Spray Paint, Semi-Gloss Finish, (312 Grams / Can)

I tried Watco brushing lacquer and the old timers on the wood forums were right, there is no way to apply a lacquer finish without spraying and buffing. Its a spray bomb so don't expect a Ferrari finish after spraying. But work your way up from 600 grit wet to 1500 grit and you will truly have a finish like glass - no lie. Good price here on Amazon!

I’m not sure what the story is behind the other lacquer brands, I’ve seen prices all the way up to $160 for a single can. Who orders that? I’ve used Watco lacquer spray for years, the quality is among the very best, the spray is fine and even and smooth. And the price is comparable to what I would pay at a retail building supply, if they carry it. I can’t think of any reason to order any other brand.

Unfortunately, this unit arrived with no visual damage, but once I attempted to use it - only then I realized that the sprayer (plastic part) was broken and lacquer was spraying everywhere around the can. This ended up absolutely useless and can't be returned, additionally caused damage to surrounding items and ruined my clothes. Ba cautious ordering spray products online

If you need mate/satin finishing, this is the best

The spray pattern was good and the flow was steady. The coverage was excellent and the finish was smooth and even. I tried a different brand before this one and had a lot of problems with inconsistent spray flow and the spray just stopped and there was about half a can that I could not use. I do highly recommend Watco Spray Lacquer. As with all lacquer you have to use it when the humidity is low or the finish will be hazy.
